Went on a lunch date with my cousin. Thanksgiving left overs weren’t enough for us lol!
Parking: They’re located in the corner of a plaza. Free parking lot. We couldn’t find a spot within their area, so we parked near the grocery store.
Ambiance/Environment: They have a very casual, warm, & welcoming environment. They also have a small space. There’s a decent amount of seating.
Service: Once you walk in, you’ll be greeted and asked whether you’d like to dine in, take out or pick up. We decided to dine in. Shout out to Jesse & James! They were very knowledgeable about the menu, courteous, and attentive! We ordered via the tablet and paid at the register in the end.
What we ordered:
Combo B - We decided to share the Yupdduk (jjajang spice level). This came with boiled eggs and veggie fries and sweated rice balls on the side. The veggie fries had the perfect crisp, the rice balls tasted as expected, and the boiled eggs were cooked well. The sauce was absolutely flavorful! The rice cakes were very fulfilling! Make sure to immediately mix the cheese!
Boneless Chicken Feet (appetizer) - We were told this was one of their popular appetizer. We ordered this mild. Their special sauce was also flavorful! The chicken feet were cooked well. Although I’m not sure what makes this boneless bc I bit into small pieces of bone .. lol.
Spam Mayo Rice Bowl (appetizer) - Another popular appetizer recommended to us. We really enjoyed this! Can’t go wrong with a classic dish!
Fish Cake Soup - My cousin wanted something soupy. The soup wasn’t too salty. It came with a generous amount of fish cakes. Perfect for the cold weather.
Salted Caramel Milk Tea w/ boba (100% sweet) & Mango Green Tea w/ Lychee jelly (0% sweet) - I really enjoyed my drink! The boba was okay .. some pieces were chewy and some were hard. We were told the Mango Green Tea already has syrup, so she didn’t want anymore sugar. It was still a bit sweeter than she’d like, but she did enjoy the lychee jelly!
Pricing: The prices are fair $$, especially for the amount that you get. Everything was so flavorful, rich,...
Read moreIt's a small fast casual Korean restaurant located in Diamond Bar within a mini plaza. Each table has its own tablet to order from. It's broken out in categories so it's as easy by scrolling and tapping on the items you want. Then hit order. Your food will be delivered to you.
My favorite dish here is the Parmesan squid. I loved the flavor. It was cooked just right and nice and chewy. Another favorite is the Yup DDuck. I was told to get extra mild because mild is super spicy. I still thought this was spicy for me, but remember my tolerance for spice is on the low side. The rice cakes were soft, cute and tiny sauges were also added and a layer of cheese on top. So much goodness right here.
The pork cutlet was a good size. it was extra crispy and Love the sauce that it goes with. It comes with rice and potato salad. If you get the fried chicken, it's a lot. This is good for up to three people. The spicy chicken wing was a bit spicy for me. I did love the Tuna Gimbap, which comes with the Ramen. That's a great deal.
Johnny wanted to try the blood sausage. It's very soft in texture. Different than most sausages where the skin is thicker. I tried it first without the seasoned salt. I think I like it better without it.

Read moreComforting quality made Korean food wins me over once again. I gotta admit, I'm partial to tteokbokki, simply because it's just so good. Spicy, sweet, savory. What's there not to love!? Their version here was exceptional and probably the best I have I'd had in quite a while.
I had the C set along with spicy chicken and Kimbap. Everything came out very hot and fresh. I like that it really seemed like it was all made in-house. The seaweed rice balls come with a lot of seaweed which works well. I've been to other places where you actually make the rice balls yourself, but these come out made already. The Veggie fries I think were mainly sweet potato which is my favorite part of veggie tempura. Tastes good with the tteokbokki sauce.
Oh and back to the tteokbokki, they have different levels, and the server referred to the spice level that we chose as similar to buldak spicy noodles. I'd say that is a good comparison and most people would be happy with this spice level unless you just have a really high tolerance. The rice cakes had a good chew, not overcooked and I notice they cut like a lit slit in all the rice cakes so the sauce could get in there. The small details are appreciated.
It's an unassuming quaint place that I think adds to the homely and comforting food. There are tablets at the table where you place your order. The server was nice and helpful as we had some questions when placing our order.
If you're looking for some really good tteokbokki, make your way...
