Dunk's Southern Style Buffet & Catering — Restaurant in Diamondhead

We went in, and the greeting was decent, but there was limited seating. I was surprised by the price it was 17.99, which didn't include a drink. Luckily, they were giving a free drink for the month of October, or we would have been drinking water. The food was all bland. Nothing had flavor like no seasoning on anything. The baked chicken was still pink in the middle. I didn't eat much of anything, so I decided I'm going for ice cream. Keep in mind this is supposed to be all you can eat, but when I asked for a scoop of two different flavors for my husband who wanted to mix flavors, I'm told one scoop per customer. How is that all you can eat? Also, if I couldn't eat the food because it was awful, I should have been able to get an extra scoop of ice cream. The lady was very rude when telling me No, I couldn't get that extra scoop. We will not be going back. The price, flavor, and attitude will have me taking my money elsewhere. I would give a 1/2 star if it were possible... we showed up 10 minutes after they were supposed to be open and the doors were locked, we politely knocked but were ignored. After a couple minutes a woman came up, unlocked the door and then disappeared into the back kitchen area. We stood at the register for about 5-10 minutes waiting for some kind of service but were left standing without any acknowledgement whatsoever.... We went to Dunk's for the first time Sunday June '25. Was clean & nice atmosphere. The food was good & enjoyed the selections. (Don't like the spices on fried Chicken - wish they had just flour & salt & pepper in 1 bin & spicy in another, so we could choose). Reminded us of good home cooking we used to have when people cooked more at home. We also got to meet Dunk. Even though he was busy, he took time to make us feel like we were guests at his home & made us feel so comfortable.He was so nice & loved the time...
