Make reservations before you go. I didn't make reservations because I usually go to Bottles in Guaynabo in the afternoon and they always find a table for us. Actually, Before the management change you weren't able to make reservations in the Bottles in Guaynabo. When I arrive at 5pm today there were like 8 couples in the whole restaurant, in fact I’ve never seen so many empty tables in a restaurant in my life, the photo attached doesn’t even make justice to how empty the restaurant was. At first they told me they couldn’t accommodate us, then they told us they had space in the bar, but we have a baby girl with us. Then the manager got us a chair, but put us on a time limit. This is a very expensive restaurant, how are you going to put time limit on us when it’s so empty. The staff were extremely lost and rude and that’s what made us leave. I’ve never had a bad experience like this in the Bottles in Guaynabo. Another thing to add, I’ve gone to that Bottles in Guaynabo multiple times since the last management change, and honestly the food quality is much worse; it feels like it lost its magic. I just cant recommend any of these restaurants any more, they will slowly wither and die out unless the hire more professional staff and probably change management again. There are much better and fancier places to eat, I recommend: Mario Pagan and Luisa in Condado and maybe consider Lalas and the Mall of San Juan among others. Bottles just lost a couple...
Read moreI was expecting a great cuisine experience but I am very disappointed. The quality of the food was below our expectations compared with our prior experience in Guaynabo. We ordered half size of the shrimp scampi and BBQ ribs. Both plates come with vegetables, so we expected flavored vegetables presented nicely like sautéed, roasted, or something else. We got a bunch of cooked broccoli, cauliflower, corn on the cob and asparagus, which took half of the plate area. The shrimp were cooked in a light tomato and onion sauce that was very acidic to the palate, the pasta was just cooked with no flavor. As for the ribs, they were tender but the flavor was ok, but nothing special. Overall, the presentation and taste of both plates looked as served in a low quality cafeteria setting not in a respectable restaurant like Bottles. Not worth the cost. On our way out we stopped at the dessert stand located in the raw meet shopping room. The staff there was great, very friendly and helpful. The coconut ice cream was really good, it saved my terrible food experience inside...
Read moreFinally made it to Bottles! We went at noon on a Monday — the restaurant was closed for lunch, but the market was offering sandwiches and salads. Chef Steven had us try one of his pasta sauces as well as his special ramen broth — so delicious! Rehul at reception was very accommodating and professional as he served our meal. Hubby and I each got “half” sandwiches… and they were enormous! My pastrami sandwich was brimming with meat, and the rosemary sourdough was the perfect complement. Soooooo soooo good! I’ll definitely...
