Has the potential to be a good restaurant if only the someone would acknowledge the people entering and waiting to be seated. Staff passed us 20 minutes glancing at us as if we were in the wrong place. There were several tables empty and wait staff around.
The appetizers took 30 minutes to arrive.
After 20 minutes, my fried fish was sent to another table, touched and then returned to a cart just outside the kitchen to wait for the other food that was in order which never arrived. The same waitress had loose hair of which she continuesly flipped around with her hands and also cleaned her nose frequently (and delivered the food dishes to tables all without washingher hands, nor wearing gloves or a hair net or hat).
When the waitress realized I was observing the situation the entire time, she then took the cold and touched fish back into the kitchen. After another 45 minutes, the fish came back out (no other fried fish had come out in that time) refried and dry. Also, the chuleta Cancan (fried pork chops) was so over fried it reminded me of jerky (the meaty portion was like leather).
Needless to say we didn't eat our food. The waitress never came to see if our food was ok.
Just really bad service and food handling practice across the board. Don't...
Read moreOur favorite restaurant visited in Puerto Rico during February 2016 and how lucky to have found it on our last night. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Our server answered all menu questions our very large group of family members had, showing the utmost patience and detail. We received salads and bread upon ordering which is wonderful as you learn to wait quite a while for food while in Puerto Rico. However, we did not have to wait long for food at this restaurant which was well paced. The food was fantastic and I don't think there was a single unhappy person at the table. Snapper with capers is my personal recommendation, but my mom ordered a steak and was thrilled with this as well, so the menu was great in many areas. When we left, it had begun to rain and the staff pulled our car right up to the door and ran all of us out to the vehicle underneath umbrellas. Fantastic service....
Read moreI was staying in Puerto Rico for a family vacation. I was dying for some delicious food and my uncle took us here.
As an appetizer we got sorullitos and croquetas de bacalao. They were so amazing. I would order this again anyday.
My uncle got the mofongo with Carne cerdo frito. He let me try it and omg it was so good. The pork was perfectly seasoned and crispy. My uncle ate the entire thing. My sister ordered the whole red snapper fried with tostones. The fish was huge, seasoned well and fresh. I tried it as well and omg it was to die FOR. I got the mofongo with camarones in a creole sauce. I cannot even tell you how much joy that delish gave me. Bought back childhood memories from when my grandmother used to make shrimps like that. It was so good.
I would really recommend this place. It isnt FANCY but its down to earth and the food is really good. Come here for some...
