Read moreMy girlfriend and I used to come to Little Louie’s regularly a few years ago. We used to love this place. Food was amazing, staff was awesome. Today, we went back for the first time in almost 2 years and we were vastly disappointed. The garlic rolls are not fresh like they used to be. Almost rock hard. The pasta was decent, but portions have decreased while prices have increased. Lastly, CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY, they charge a 10% gratuity without telling you. So I tipped 18% on top of the 10% they charged me without telling me. When I called them after seeing the 10% on the receipt to ask if they posted that charge anywhere, they said “No, we’ve been doing this for a long time now”. They offered me a refund but I said that I would simply like them to be transparent about it for other customers. The response I received was “all I can offer you is a refund for the gratuity, I can’t do anything else” so I said fine, give me my gratuity back, keep your shady 10% since you imposed it on yourself. I came here to see if other people had this same issue. Not only did I see that, but I also see the owner responding to criticisms posted by others essentially calling them liars. Something changed at Little Louie’s in the past two years. Perhaps a change in management? Not sure, but it’s a noticeable and disappointing difference. I won’t be returning, unfortunately. Such a shame because I love small businesses like this. Just not when...
Read moreWe walked in to hear the head chef (older man with white hair and glasses) complaining about how much he works to his co-worker and he was using a variety of Spanish profanity. First off, I didn’t appreciate that as I walked in for a family dinner with my seven year old. Second, the menu has recently changed and the quality of the food has definitely been impacted. My son is allergic to dairy and we have been coming to Little Louie’s for years and always just scrape the cheese off but the new “recipe” made this impossible to do. Our waitress was absolutely lovely and graciously offered the kitchen make him a small personal pizza with no cheese. The aforementioned head chef was clearly upset over having to make another pizza and spent a good amount of time (loudly) complaining about it to which eventually I confronted him about and he ignored me completely. Our kind waitress tried to diffuse the situation by saying he wasn’t talking about us but we knew he was since he was looking straight at our table as he said it. I will never return to this place and hope they get a new chef that has manners and shared their morals. This is in no way the Little Louie’s we have loved for years but I wish the rest of the team the very best and want to sincerely thank our waitress tonight for being so cordial, friendly, and professional while her colleague yelled at the top of his lungs and made the restaurant a hostile...
