Tonight I went to order my usual at Sonic - a route 44 Diet Cherry Limade with extra cherries. When they came out with my drink, I didn't take a drink right away. I put it in the cup holder and kept looking at my phone finishing up something I was doing. I took a sip and noticed it wasn't diet, it was a regular cherry limeade. now this isn't a big deal, stuff happens but I knew if I drank this surgery drink I was going to have heart palpitations and that's no bueno. So I pushed the button again, apologized and said I think they got my order wrong because what they gave me was a regular cherry limeade when I ordered diet. they girl said she'd be right out with a the correct order. they quickly brought a new one back out but she did not apologize and she rudely asked for the wrong drink back. this took me by surprise and instantly made me defensive because she was acting like i was trying to scam sonic for a 2 dollar drink. I said so I don't get to keep the old drink even though yall made a mistake? I'll just give it to my husband. She said no. I asked this because she was already being so rude about it, and i wanted to see if shed continue treating me like i was trying to scam them for a free drink or something. if she wasnt rude from the getgo I probably wouldn't have cared and gave the drink back! I asked for a manager , a manager came out...but at that point, it felt pretty stupid to even try explaining myself and why I was so taken aback by how rude the girl was! the manager apologized but he showed no emotion or care in his face or demeanor. I told him I doubted he was sorry and left cause I was so blown away by how horrible the customer service was! đł I have a picture of my receipt by the way that was regular cherry limeade! so no, I wasn't lying and I should have been treated better!
Edit: I also want to add that I completely understand understand if that's policy or just what yall do, but please do not treat me like I WAS the one who made the mistake or that I'm a dishonest person for a 3 dollar drink. That's what upsets me the most. The costumer service, not...
Read moreLook, I get it. Times are tough, and if adding more air to the shakes is your new way of cutting costs without reducing the volume, Iâm not here to judge. But with all due respect, my stomach is currently filing a formal complaint.
Itâs called "overrun"âthat magical process where they whip more air into the shake mix to make it "fluffier" and "lighter." Cool. But did anyone stop to think about how that air might also be fluffing up my kidâs digestive systems? Because right now, my kids' stomachs are holding a protest. Theyâre farting, crying, and â I kid you not â they are actively plotting to never return to Sonic again. Itâs like the âSpecialâ is an invitation for disaster.
Hereâs the thing, Sonic: If youâre just trying to stretch the product for a lower price point during a special, at least let us feel like weâre getting something worthwhile! Itâs not even like itâs coming out of your pocket â itâs the company doing this! So why are we getting the air version of a milkshake? This isnât an aviation class, itâs food! I need my kids to not have to think twice before getting excited about a Route 44 strawberry limeade. But now, instead of "Yay, let's stop at Sonic!", itâs, "Uh, nah, remember that time we felt like balloons popped inside us?"
And, letâs talk texture for a second. Adding more air doesn't just make the shake less filling, it makes it regretfully delicious until you realize your stomach is staging a rebellion. I thought last time was a fluke. But nope. This time, itâs not meâitâs you, Sonic.
Itâs like a "more for less" deal, but instead of more joy, we get more wind. And believe me, when you have a family of 6, we canât afford to be floating away on a shake thatâs mostly air. So, do us all a favor and teach your staff the fine art of NOT inflating milkshakes to the point that they might just float off into the sky.
For the sake of my digestive systemâand my sanityâplease, STOP with...
Read moreI hadnât eaten at Sonic in awhile so I was really looking forward to having my BLT when I got off of work this past Friday morning. I ordered and paid using the tap on the screen and everything looked fine and it showed they were preparing my order. Well when my order came out the server stated my card didnât go through.. I pull up my bank account on my phone and see a charge for $3.08 pending from Sonic which was strange and wasnât the total amount I did the tap and paid for. My total was $10.77 which included the tip for the server. I showed this to the server and he said he needed to run my card for the additional amount not charged. However when he brought my card back he told me he canceled the $3.08 and ran my card for the correct amount of $10.77. When I left both charges were still pending. However after checking my account a day later my account had been charged for BOTH the $10.78 which was fine because that is correct but also an additional $3.08 for absolutely no reason. I normally just let things like this just slide but with all the fraud and the high prices of EVERYTHING it really upset me because I rarely treat myself eating out and I work hard for every dollar I have. I will not be revisiting this...
