Honestly, really great rotisserie and fried chicken with lots of flavor - but the sides. Ohhh my goodness, Waldos has some of the best sides in the Wiregrass area. Can’t say enough about the Collard Greens and White Beans, Tomato & Cucumber salad, and the Mac & Cheese, even the French Fries are scrumptious. No clue as to what kind of spices they are injecting in to their sides, but when you talk about real homestyle southern flavors - Waldos has it going on. So much so that you’ll be tempted to order extra to take home.

Customer service - impeccable. Very friendly and polite Team working there - always smiling and very attentive to all the guests.

So lets talk technicalities. You walk in and the counter or bar top sits in front of you; place your orders at the Point of Sale; and have a seat. Lots of places to sit, both inside and outside; or on the evening we were there some were gathered around the bar watching TV and sipping beers with their chicken sandwiches and dinner plates. Kids hanging out with parents, singles and couples - the place was Rockin for a Wednesday evening. They have a decent variety of draft beers, to include a few from the local Folklore Brewing - plus quite a few different bottled beer; plus a full service bar for mixed drinks. Soda machine in the public area for grab and goes.

Without a doubt, you will have a great meal, in a welcoming environment and for less than $10 per person - about the same as a boxed meal from the fast food joints. We visited Waldo’s for the first time today (April 18th, 2023) and boy, were our gums ripped out of our mouths. The chicken on our sandwiches were seasoned and hot, the sides were delicious, and the cheddar biscuits were buttery goodness (left). My husband tore his sandwich up quickly as he normally does, but it was so worth the trip. We went around 4:00pm and it wasn’t busy at all, thankfully (I prefer minimal crowds, if possible).

The only downside we have about the experience that didn’t end this rating with 5-stars is because the shift leader (or manager) on duty was complaining about another employee doing something incorrectly or the lack thereof. As someone that has worked in food service and retail, this kind of behavior is inappropriate to display in front of customers because it can come off to customers that they can treat the employee disrespectfully.

Overall, the food experience was great! The young woman that took our order was very conversational. I am so proud that she did so well in her first days of being there and the servers were very agreeable and courteous.

Well the chicken sandwich we had was the fowl mouth, was extremely underwhelmed, did not meet expectations at all ! Now that being said ,the chicken itself was ok ,, honestly I can get a better spicy chicken sandwich or chicken sandwich that is better at any chicken place . Honestly the price with the economy right now was ok 👍 for the food that is ,the major disaster was ordering a sweet tea for 4 1/2 dollars for 1 large drink!! that isn't even made in house, was store bought jug ,I can get myself for 2 dollars and fill all my families cups ! Maybe consider that price on your drinks better .. also got a salad 🥗 was no dressing in bag and who wants to fight there way back to get something you already paid for ,, not off to a great start, have a feeling once the new is gone it will slow down dramatically.. all that to say , if you try it I'd skip the drinks,, and I could honestly go to Popeyes or Chick -fil -a get every single thing I ordered, great tea and great food ,, at a...
