Ruby Tuesday — Restaurant in Douglas

We arrived close to 4:03 pm Saturday, December 4, 2021. 3 adults, 2 small children. We placed our drink orders, and appetizers. We watched as others groups were seated, and then their drinks and appetizers were served before ours. Our drinks from the bar took over 30 minutes to receive, AFTER ordering them, and when we finally got them, they were so weak, and watered down, that we preferred water and soda over them. I personally, ordered the "new" fried fish, with broccoli instead of fries. A bacon cheeseburger was ordered, as well as chicken pasta, and chicken tenders. (Appetizers were spinach dip, and bread sticks). Out food didn't come out until 5:15, 5:20pm. (We thought we was gonna be late to the parade). My fried fish was nothing more than fish sticks, and my server never ask if we needed condiments, (such as ketchup, tater sauce, honey mustard, or ranch). Our glasses of soda were empty. I had to flag our server down, ask for ketchup, and tater sauce, (which she did bring right away), but by THAT time, my son had done choked down ½ of his DRY burger, which he didn't finish, and said it was too late to salvage, he was done. The tarter sauce tasted like comet powder cleaner. My daughter in law stated her chicken pasta was good, as we're the fries, and chicken tenders. Our server got the manager to our table, per my request. The manager, (light haired female),....listened to my complaints: the fish was mere fish sticks, (better quality and taste from Captain D's at a fraction of the cost), and the tarter sauce was bad, (my son said don't even worry about the burger, he would grab something to eat after the parade). The manager told me that the fish was Cod, (so is Captain D's and theirs are not fingers or sticks), and she told me they make their tarter sauce daily, and told me their ingredients, (as if it mattered at that point). I told her I was COMPLETELY unsatisfied, and I had to ask her to remove to fish meal. She tried to get me to have a chicken tender meal, (I said no thank you), she said she didn't want me to leave hungry, (I looked at my watch, it's 5:51pm.). I told her I couldn't wait, we has plans that evening. She replied, it would only take a few minutes. (Remember what time we arrived, and placed our order and what we ordered, but it will only take a few minutes). I declined the offer of chicken tenders. We paid our bill, $70 something dollars, (for basically pasta, spinach dip, and tenders, - and water, because at one point, my son started eating the ice left in his cup, for lack of a drink, and dry burger). I can count, on one hand, all the times, I've had terrible service. We aren't picky people, we aren't hard to please. This, - was HORRIBLE. (The server was lacking, I'd say she's never served before. It took WAY too long to receive our food, and then even that was less than bottom line food). I won't recommend Ruby Tuesday. When we go out as a family, and want a dinner together, a good dinner, we will choose Old Times, Country Cabin, 1800, Covered Wagon, or even McDonald's or Wendy's over Ruby Tuesday. Over all the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! The waiter is very slow and not people friendly. The steaks are horrible. The first one was so tough I couldn’t even cut it let alone chew it. They made me another one and it was worse than the first one. They took $5.00 off our bill for bad steak. Never again will I go into your establishment. The establishment was not busy during our visit, it took 15 minutes to be seated. The host went and cleaned off a booth, and hollered back at us that we could come over here and sit. We were sat without any menus. Approximately 10 minutes later the waiter come over and asked if we knew what we wanted. I asked for a menu, he said he sat you without menus, what do you want to drink, I asked for a menu to see what my options were, seemingly frustrated he went and got us menus. We ordered our drinks ( 2 bottle beer, because they were out of tap), and 2 steak medium rare. About 10-15 minutes later he brings our drinks. About another 20ish mins later he walks by grabs a bottle off the table and keeps walking. Another 10 minutes he brings our food and walks away. By this time we do not have any drinks. He comes back to see if we were finished, and I told him my steak was so tough I couldn’t cut it, and definitely can’t chew it. He was frustrated with me and went and got someone from the back I explained, she offered to make me a new one, I asked if it was going to take another 45 mins, she in fact got it out to me quicker, but it was even worse. The waiter never come back. I asked the host if we could get our check. He said Ugg I just can’t with him (referring to the waiter) goes and gets him he brings our bill and said oh you need a box I replied no my dogs wouldn’t eat that. I walked out and let my husband handle the bill, before I made a scene. They literally took off $5.00 fro bad steak. I am very unsatisfied with...

I went to eat here on yesterday 1/15/2023 which made me very upset sot at the booth waitress just walking by no one stopped and asked was we ready to eat over 30 mins ago so finally I stopped someone.. they had us to wait until somebody came we sot so long we already knew what we want then, not long after they bought the food out I said to myself that's the fastest I ever got my food so when the girl bought my plate out I looked at it and asked her what was that?? now I ordered a pot roast which is my favorite meal I can't make this up ...this plate looked like somebody took some dirty mop water and squeeze it in my plate so whatever it was cause it wasn't gravy.. put one scoop of my mash potatoes with 2 pieces of dried up meat with garlic pieces floating In the juice like it was a bowl of cereal ,,now u know I was upset so the second person came out and said oh she forgot your toast which look like they rung it on the floor with it .. I told that person I don't want that I also stated that my dog wouldn't eat this food i wasnt being funny i was very upset... so she had the nerve to ask me did I want her to take it off I said I sure do ...then I guess the manager came out trying to explain so she said I'm sorry do u want anything else I told her ma'am I guess i will get the bar she said ok but we out of cheese until the truck come.
