I primarily visit this McDonald's location for breakfast sandwiches (about twice a week) and coffee (3–4 times a week). When it comes to breakfast service, they are absolutely outstanding. Jess, Shelby, and Liz are almost always on shift when I stop by, and their service is flawless—I would easily give them 6 stars out of 5.
However, outside of the breakfast hours, the experience is a stark contrast. The lunch, dinner, and late-night crews seem disinterested and less attentive. My coffee orders during these times are often disappointing—drinks are sometimes old, bitter, or improperly prepared. Additionally, when I use the app to preorder, the breakfast team consistently greets me by name and applies deals seamlessly, making the process smooth and efficient.
Unfortunately, the other shifts frequently fail to acknowledge rewards or app deals, quote prices incorrectly, and often act as if using the app is a new or difficult task. I have even experienced long wait times and situations where they couldn’t get the app to work, sometimes leaving me frustrated enough to leave and purchase coffee elsewhere at a higher price.
In summary, the morning crew deserves recognition, raises, and promotions for their excellent work. Conversely, the other shifts would greatly benefit from additional training and a stronger focus on customer service—perhaps even stricter policies regarding distractions during shifts. The contrast between these teams is significant and affects the overall customer experience.

Read moreI never got my food. I didn't appreciate being treated so rudely in the Drive-Thru. No question asking if am I ready to order, I get there's a line. I don't often eat at McDonald's and I needed a minute to look at the menu. I told the rude young man what meal I wanted and while I was looking for non soda drink options he just kept on repeating himself with a more inconsiderate tone as he went on. Didn't even give me the opportunity to ask can you give me a moment, nothing. Just kept on with an attitude and asking are you going to order a drink?! I'm sorry but McDonald's of Dover your drive-thru attendance need to do better. Wednesday evening 5.21.25 @ 6:45pm.
Young man, if you don't like working with people or have the patience then move to the fryer!! Your tude because I wasn't fast enough for you was not positive customer service experience, that's why I left the drive thru. Hope you realize not everyone wants to be spoken to with an attitude.
Update... left parking lot of MCDONALD'S, Made a right, took road to end, made another right, made a left into WAWA, walked in... ordered food, everyone nice and happy... received food quickly, healthier options and cost less! Yes, there was a line but everyone smiled and made the best of it. The photo... a bunless burger with Avocado and chipotle sauce. Less calories and much healthier than the crap from McDonald's and if you want fries they make fries too definitely not going to...
Read moreI ordered 2 cheeseburgers and moved through the drive thru quickly since there were few people in front of me. I was told to pull ahead and wait. 10 minutes later, I received my two cheeseburgers and nothing else, like an apology for the delay.
Normally, I'd mark this up to being short staffed or just an off day, but the service at this McDonald's is consistently bad.
As a side note, the franchise owner up charges $2.99 for bacon and $0.79 for a squirt of mayonnaise. Standard menu prices are generally a little cheaper, but gouging customers for wanting some customization to their food is a bad practice.
I generally don't eat at McDonald's as I rarely eat fast food anymore but their food is also subpar to other fast food places. Due to convenience and a recent incentive, I made a few trips to this store over the last few weeks. As mentioned before, the service is consistently bad and I will no longer grant this store...
