Chaiyo Sushi and Thai in Dover, Delaware, is an absolute gem that our family looks forward to visiting every week. The quality of the food here is nothing short of impeccable—every dish is prepared with such care and precision that it's clear the chefs take great pride in their craft. Whether you're indulging in their expertly crafted sushi or savoring the rich flavors of their Thai dishes, the culinary experience at Chaiyo is always top-notch.
The service is another highlight that keeps us coming back. The servers are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always make us feel welcome. They go above and beyond to ensure that every dining experience is enjoyable, adding a personal touch that makes you feel like more than just another customer.
A special mention has to go to the owner, Ms. Sara. She is genuinely one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Her warm and gracious demeanor sets the tone for the entire restaurant, and you can see the positive impact she has on her staff and patrons alike. It’s clear that she cares deeply about her customers and is passionate about providing a memorable dining experience.
If you’re visiting Chaiyo, I highly recommend trying the Sake Don sashimi bowl. It’s a stunning dish that perfectly showcases the restaurant’s commitment to quality, with fresh, delicate slices of salmon that melt in your mouth. Pair it with the Thai mule drink for a refreshing twist that perfectly complements the flavors of the meal.
Overall, Chaiyo Sushi and Thai is our absolute favorite spot in Dover, and we can’t imagine going anywhere else for our weekly family dinners. Five stars...
Read moreTonight I ordered tempura chicken from the appetizer menu through take out. I received my order but did not check it until I got home. When I got home I opened my order to eat it and I did not have tempura chicken. I had tempura vegetables with the chicken tenders that come with this kids meal. I have eaten here several times and I know what this appetizer is and looks like. The chicken is thick and tempura battered and delicious. I called the restaurant to let them know I received the wrong this (please note: I just ordered this same thing yesterday *dont judge, it’s the cravings) . The female store manger got on the phone and told me she knew what I received and that it was the correct thing. After I told her it was not tempura chicken and I eat there often and would just like the tempura chicken, she tried to tell me that it always comes that way and that it comes with vegetables. I said on the menu, it doesn’t even say it comes with vegetables and it never has before and the chicken is not even tempura battered. She was rude and repeated the same thing and said she had no idea what I was talking about because it always comes that way. This is the worst experience I have...

We live in Dover, love Thai & this place is near to us n that’s the only reason we went there But every time, it was a disappointment (abt 6 times, thinkng that we will enjoy this time)
Their food Amt is very minimal even Dinner time & even if u order 3 dishes, it doesn’t fill u up.
Mostly places give free refill of rice specially dinner but this place gives u a small portion first time wth ur entree & then charge $2 for a small bowl.
Once, we told them mild or medium spice level but the food was so hot n we couldn’t even finish n our money was a waste
Today was the EXTREME / we picked out carryout of ‘tofu wth cashew curry’ n wen we opened the bag after coming home, there was NO Rice AND secondly, It was the WRONG DISH (they gave chicken instead of tofu & I am a vegetarian) So my husband went back to get New one.
wen the new one came, it had no gravy / sauce to eat wth rice And the tofu pieces were so small that I was so angry.
Looks like, this place is trying to save money on every small thing Not going back again, wasted...
