Went to this Dunkin's drive thru this afternoon, waited in line for over 40 minutes, at the ordering screen requested a large iced macchiato with three pumps of butter pecan swirl as well as a large ice water with extra ice, the name on the receipt I would later receive said it was rung in by Xavier at 2:47 pm, told him my order two times, got to the pick up window and he had no idea what I ordered, he asked if I ordered an iced coffee I said no, he asked if I had a mobile order I said no, I told him my order two more times, he said my order was $3 something (I don't remember the exact change) which didn't sound right, I asked him if he rang it in right he told me he did and my total was actually $5.10, he took my cell to tap it to pay, then he sits my phone on the counter out of my reach and without saying anything walks away, a while later he returns and tells me my total is now $5.70, then he asked some other guy for help with the register, I asked the other guy to confirm my order was correct and told both of them my order again, they both assured me it was, Xavier? filled up a cup with ice and asked if I wanted water in it I said yes, then he pointed the top end of my cell at the POS device to tap to pay, that didn't work I had to tell him how to use tap to pay, he returns my cell and asked me if I wanted my receipt I said definitely, (there's no screen to see your order prior to this point), after receiving it he charged me $5.79 not the $5.70 he quoted me, my coffee was rung in as an iced latte not the iced macchiato I ordered, with three pumps of mocha swirl that I never ordered (the word mocha wasn't even uttered), he said oh you only wanted butter pecan and apologized and said he was new, I ended up just leaving as I was not giving any of them my card again, not sure what I actually received as there was no sticker on my coffee, it was extraordinarily bitter and burnt, if I could leave a negative star review I would, what an all around...
Read moreI am very upset afte my encounter at the Route 8 Dunkin Donuts. My husband stopped there to get us coffee and I met him at his Dr. Appt. When I opened my bagel there was hair in it. I went back to the dd store and informed the associate and I thought he asked if I wanted to teplace it, but apparently he said do I want refu d. I said yes thinking he asked if I wanted to replace it. I got bothered because he asked if I knew hiw my husband oaid for it. I said I didn't know and he asked me to call and find out. Well my husband was at the dr., so I called corporate instead. At the end of the day he called ma a liar and said I told him I wanted a refund and vot really disrespectful. I told him if he were my son I would have slapped him across the face for calling a customer a liar. I am a black female and he was the only black person working there, and I am probably 3 times his age and expected a bit more respect. When he realized I wanted to replace the bagel all he had to do was acknowledge a misunderstanding...problem solved. Instead, he chose to call me a liar and repeat it to yhe other staff members. I make a purchase literally dailu from that location but that ends today unfortunately. Teach staff tradition......the customer is always right.
