Dunkin' — Restaurant in Downers Grove

If i could give this place 0 stars i would! I just left this location...when I walked in a african american young man named "Rog", (if he was not lying abt his name) was changing the garbage, which is why i was surprised when he asked to take my order..i thought perhaps someone else would fix it. To my surprise, he walked over & began fixing my order, I POLITELY said excuse me, asked for him to walk over to me, (twice) with an attitude, he said, "whats up" , I said, werent you just changing the garbage? He said, what garbage, i pointed to the garbage can, and he sarcastically said, no i was changing the other one..which was very dirty, so i said, well, you were touching garbage and now your touching my drink...He immediately became rude! His demeanor was not polite initially, however at this point, he threw the cup down and rolled his eyes & said, I cant belive this!...At that point I said sir, give me a refund please! I said your getting an attitude because I asked you to wash your hands?! He then began yelling at me at the top of his voice, even to the point of spitting, talking about how he is the manager of this dunkin donuts, i told him i did not care whether he was the manager or not, thats not the way to treat customers..he then told me to SHUT UP and get out of the store! I told him I would leave when I got my money back. Long story short, He went so far as to call the police on me, when I was being polite to him and he became aggressive. This is not the first time I have had bad customer service at this location. I can assure you, I will not be back to this location and will make it a priority to speak with the manager. Evidently sanitation and cleaniness is not a priority here, neither is good...

I've worked for this location for a year now, the owner and the manager are brothers they both don't have no idea how to run a business and they treat most of us employees poorly and only protect there own kind (race). I have been working hard everyday since I started working here, over all I have 4 years of experience and from the store owners I worked for never had bad ownership like this store. I have worked hard for a raised but never received it because his business wasn't going well. They cut my hours because I had a disagreement with my coworker that is also there same (race) as them, who also called me out of my name in front of one of my daily customers that knows me saw how she rudely called me harsh names and yelled in my face. Yet I suffer for it by losing my hours and now I have to rush to get another job because that's the best I can do. This store just uses there best employees and throws them away like trash and hire untrained, irresponsible, unreliable new people to try to replace them. They question why there business is going into loss? Because they fail to see what should get done than just keeping family/friends employees at his store for good realtionship but it's bad for businesse... I took enough from this store and it's for the best that they let me go because this store is a mess and the only reason why it's still open because the owner has enough money to clean up...

This was my last visit to this particular Dunkin. Sad, because I work right across the street and this is a convenient place to get my morning coffee fix.

I understand mistakes happen. But, this is the 4th day in a row my order has been wrong. It's not like my order is rocket science - a medium iced coffee with cream and sugar and either an oatmeal or wake up wrap. That's it.

Last Friday, ordered the usual. Got back to work and opened up the bag, and found a wheat bagel instead of my wake up wrap. This past Monday, just coffee today, but when they handed me my drink, it was a hot coffee. I had to wait while they made a new one, and pay extra for the iced, even though it was their mistake. This Tuesday, waited in line forever, they handed me a Coolata of some sort and no oatmeal. Again, had to wait while they remade everything (this after waiting in line). Today, placed my order, finally made it to the window, and had to repeat my order in its entirety to the girl at the window, and again wait while they made everything again.

There are plenty of other Dunkins out there (I pass by 3 on my way to work each day). Guess I will be stopping by there. So sad, because this place was convenient. Well, their lack of organization and basic food service skills lost a...
