This place is a rare find. You can tell that the owner has thought out every detail of what she serves in the business.
I was so thrilled to see a ton of healthy, high quality, affordable options.
That does not come easy today when it's more expensive than ever to run a business.
I'll tell you this that is notable about the business. It is really hard to find a true Parisian Patisserie style croissant here in the greater Southeast la area. She has nailed it! Real lamination on these croissants and proper texture and everything, I can only think of two other places that are in Long Beach that I know within a 20 mile radius that serve croissants of this quality.
It's quality, quality, and quality again not to mention great service and a nice atmosphere. If you look at my photos you can see that for example she uses fresh mixed greens on her sandwiches, freshly baked focaccia, her chicken is not overly brined and likely from a great source you can really taste the difference.
I spoke with her personally and confirmed that she uses European butter, semolina flower and fruits flown in from Europe to make her baked goods.
The portion was definitely generous you could if you wanted split a sandwich and be okay for a nice lunch with a small side.
My only feedback is they don't have a restroom to use but the space is small and more designed for a quick lunch. That being said though to me anywhere that serves coffee which is a diuretic should offer a restroom. On the other side though I can see why it wouldn't be something feasible because of the design of the space that she is in it doesn't have a restroom space for the customer.
I will also add that I appreciated that she's using monk fruit sweetener for example and some of her beverages it's very friendly for people who need to watch their blood sugar like diabetics. It is a multicultural establishment that integrates elements of Latino cuisine, French cuisine, and American style food.
Ultimately though this review is about the quality of the food not necessarily the design of the space and in terms of that I can definitely say it's a 5 out of 5.
Can't wait to come back and most certainly next time will be bringing my mom...
Read moreMy sister and I decided to stop by Honey Greens today, thinking we’d treat ourselves to some drinks. We both asked for light ice, simple enough, right? She got a coffee, I got a strawberry matcha cloud latte. When we picked them up, hers was noticeably bigger. Same order process, same light ice request, but somehow mine ended up in a smaller cup. So we asked the employee why the sizes were different, and she hit us with, “It’s the same amount, just in a different cup.” They also said they added more milk to the one for coffee. Interesting logic, when they could've done the same thing to the matcha drink as well.. I guess math and measuring just work differently here. For an $8 drink, I would expect the place to be more understanding for this request. If you enjoy mystery portions and vague explanations, this place might be your vibe. Personally, we’re not in a rush...
Read moreGot this off tiktok (of course cause of the designs). The current setup was for Valentines, the in, the honey pistachio latte 🤤. They did a good job setting up however the inside tables are kind of small, and really close quarters , not a very comfortable feeling. Now for the drinks. There were so many to choose from! And the designssssss. The cashier was helpful with explaining what the drinks would taste like, as I like sweet drinks I ended up with pistachio , and tiramisu . The tiramisu toppings do not allow for designs, but luckily the pistachio did. And it came out so amazing! I loved the pistachio , would definitely get it again. I did not really enjoy the tiramisu, for me it kind of got lost in the coffee and didn’t have anything too noticeable. I’d recommend this place for a quick photo op with your cute coffee and designs if that’s what...
