The Junction Bar — Restaurant in Downey

The security guard was a bully tonight. Horrible customer service. Tonight (4/15/23) at around 11:45 pm, my buddy and I went to visit the Junction bar and a man standing around the corner 20 feet away from the front door yells outloud "hey, let me see them IDs". My buddy and I were at first confused and decided to stay put by the front door. After a few akward minutes, he approached us rapidly and upset. We could see now that it was a security guard. He was upset we decided not to walked into the dark street to show him our IDs. I tried to explained to him that we expected better customer service. We were there to consume and have a good time as we have many other nights before. After closely inspecting our IDs, he surely found an inperfection with my buddy's ID (it had been bent previously) and he refused us access. We left very disappointed. We were regulars at this bar and not sure if we'll be back again. It was embarrasing...

The Junction Bar is thee place to be for a few beers or what have you and to shoot pool or just relax and listen to the variety of music being played from old school, to classic rock. Music from the 60s through today's music! You can also watch what seemed like 15 big screen televisions. Sports on all the screens. The workers are all friendly, as well as the crowd enjoying the atmosphere. I am l👀king forward to my next visit. Come join the fun. Junction is a pretty cool establishment. They have a great selection of beer with a wide variety that obviously gets rotated often (I had several completely different types and all tasted fresh). You can sit and sample beer or play pool if that's your jam. They have several tables to play. Finally, the decor gives the place a good ambience. Has a prohibition, old time, gangster decor.

The staff is very friendly but if I can give a small criticism they give greater attention to their regulars (I understand why) putting them before new customers (me). But again they were extremely helpful...
