For whatever reason my children love Scotty's donuts and whenever we visit the grandparents about a thousand miles from home they always ask repeatedly if we can stop and get donuts, by which they mean can Dad get up early and go get donuts so that when they finally wake up at 11:00 in the morning they can eat them. If I understand correctly the original owner has passed within the last year or so and I will say the inside of the store seems to reflect a little bit of a loss of something. There used to be all sorts of bric-a-brack and knick knacks on the wall that they would sell including lots of Hot Wheels cars that I always thought were kind of charming, I don't really care that those things are gone necessarily however i'm a little sad that they got rid of their promotion. Again we stop by about 2 or 3 times a year but we would always save the coupon for a free dozen and it would always get raised from the original 10 on up through 15 and now they seem to have discontinued it with some weird passive aggressive notification on the counter... As if they couldn't recognize their own promotion even if people cut the coupon in half. It seems to have lost some of the charm but the donuts are still fine. My wife likes the peanut butter ones and my kids like the Boston creams, and I will say all of them noted that the Boston cream tasted different this time than what they remembered for whatever that's worth.

My family and I were on a cross country road trip from Utah to Montreal and stumbling across this shop was a highlight of the trip. The donuts were all amazing and the staff was great. We savoured our box of donuts and donut holes for 2 days :) Worth a detour from anywhere

Stopped here on a Sunday morning. So fresh and flavors like blueberry, peanut butter glazed, and seasonal pumpkin! Donuts are big, and they give you 7 with a half dozen. Must try if you are in Dubois. I stayed nearby at Wolf Run Manor in Treasure Lake.

The place is a bit of a dump, but overlook that. The donuts are great. The staff we interacted with were friendly. The price for a baker’s half-dozen was reasonable. The donuts were flavorful, with a very nice texture and consistency. We both took a bite of all seven donuts to see which flavor we liked the best. We both liked the one with apple pie filling and cinnamon topping. The peanut butter one was recommended as a local favorite, and while it’s not one I would normally have picked, I’m glad we tried it; the filling had just a hint of peanut butter flavor rather than being too overpowering. All the others were...

Hand's down, the best donuts and pie sticks in North-Central Pennsylvania. Scotty's has the best sour cream donuts. If you want to be a hero at work or at your next A.M. gathering, stop here first. Everyone will love you for bringing some Scotty's to the table. The staff are friendly. If our Lord and Savior wanted donuts for the twelve, he'd be happy because Scotty's would give him a true baker's dozen, so he'd have one too! Try them once,...
