Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Duluth

I would rate -10 stars if I could! This place is absolutely horrible! Had an incident with them about 2 years ago where I called around 7:30pm for delivery, for hours I got the run around and was lied to and kept being told my order was on its way! Waited till 1:30 am and no pizza! Called corporate and complained as I was livid. They mailed out a coupon for a free pizza! I did not use it I was so mad! I didn’t order from this location for over a year! It is ridiculous but I would actually have to go to surrounding dominoes to get proper customer service and to ensure that my orders would actually be right. We just recently started ordering from them again about eight months ago as they are the only dominoes that will deliver to us so I thought I would give them another shot. About one out of every three times we order from them our order is correct. Most of the time I just write it off when they make mistakes because I didn’t want to call and complain again. Well tonight my order was wrong AGAIN! I call to complain and yes I was angry! When I place a $70 order I would like for it to be right! In the middle of me explaining my situation I hear a man say “thank you for holding what can I help you with” which means I wasn’t even being listened to and the person who answers the phone just handed me off to someone else. So I start explaining again, and at this point I am even more upset, the person basically told me I needed to stop talking and than hung up on me. Called back and it went to voicemail. Used my daughters phone to call and they answered. I asked to talk to the person who hung up on me and I was hung up on again! The reviews from this place are horrible, I will be calling corporate because it’s pretty sad that I cannot rely on my local dominoes to not treat their customers poorly. If corporate doesn’t do anything about this location and their lack of customer service I will boycott dominoes all together. There is way too much competition out there for pizza for them to get away with the way they treat people. If I acted like this at any of my jobs I would not have a job. It just amazes me that they have terrible reviews going back up to 2+ years and nothings been done about it. Don’t waste your money or time with the N Central Ave location in Duluth Mn! Other than the delivery drivers always being awesome the rest of the experience is down...

Well, Dominos. This story starts off with you forgetting our lemonade.

We were so excited about the pizza and other goodies that you were handing us, that we didn’t notice the lack of our cool drinks.

So, we went to the app to see if we could correct the wrong. We saw the “report a problem” and filled it out. Selected that our drinks were forgotten. And the options appeared.

But the options were for future orders. We didn’t want the future orders, we wanted our drinks. So we (well my braver than I partner) called the store and informed them of the totally honest mistake. “Oh! We’ll correct that!” The guy said happily. Cool! Thanks!

Then a call as someone arrives at our door. Yay! Lemonade! My (again totally awesome) partner heads to get the drinks.

And comes back with…. Lava cakes!!??

But. We needed lemonade not that…

“My boss told me to come deliver these when I got back!” Said the nice (but different!) delivery driver. My confused partner corrects them that we were missing lemonade not lava cakes.

So the driver calls his boss, and he suddenly says “well! Be right back!”

(We got to keep the cakes!)

And before you know it, another awesome (but different AGAIN) driver delivered not 2, but FOUR lemonades because of the mishap.

So we are totally happy customers!

We LOVE this location. This is our closest location, coming from Norton park- which is not far at all! We order often- ALWAYS receiving OUR orders Correct- never shorted- always fresh- Many, many times in easily the last year we have elected for pick up vs delivery- & every time seems there’s only one employee maybe two employee’s running the show. The second being the driver for deliveries. They DO AN AMAZING JOB!!! I don’t always review being a busy mom of 5- Yet I had to show some love to the employees keeping this location GOING… I hope the individuals who are above the daily foot soldiers- the ones who are doing the day to day “grunt” work -are aware of the team they have & compensate accordingly. Your staff is always friendly & greeting with a smile. When I’ve came into the restaurant the employee (sorry need get their name) prior to assisting me and immediately after, was actively busy, moving & shaking on other orders or tending to the restaurant needs.
