I ate twice last August at the Hungry Hippie Tacos in Grand Marais within two days because the first was so good that I had to eat there again before 3 days was over! It was the best burrito I’ve EVER had in my life! Their smoked taco meat in the burrito was to die for and everything was fantastic and their employees were a blast, and I was so excited for the guy working there because he was going to be the new manager at the Duluth location. Three of us BOUGHT TShirts because we loved it so much! And I left a fantastic review and bragged and told people to go to Duluth location!

One week before we went to the Duluth location, our friends who live in Duluth tried it and said that their burritos were mostly rice and not good and I still rallied for this location!!! But we were there two days ago and the burritos tasted like dirt, instead of the delicious smoky meat flavor from before, the queso I paid extra for was mediocre bland, and the atmosphere was not what it is in Grand Marais. The new location LOOKS FANTASTIC and I was so disappointed as was my boyfriend, who also had a fantastic experience in Grand Marais. I hope the quality improves ☹️, because I love this brand...

I ordered the Hippie Cowboy, Space Rancher, and the Sriracha Maple cheese curds for my wife and I. Each taco was $12-13, so I was expecting a tray of three tacos each. To my surprise, it was only one taco per order. However, the tacos were generously sized and packed with flavorful meat, easily satisfying my hunger. Both the brisket and salsa chicken tacos were outstanding—the brisket was incredibly flavorful, and the salsa chicken was some of the best I’ve ever had. The combination of toppings worked harmoniously, especially the fresh and flavorful jalapeños, which highlighted how lackluster typical restaurant jalapeños can be. After finishing the tacos, we were already quite full, but we still had the cheese curds to enjoy. The portion size for the cheese curds was substantial, almost like a full meal in itself. While the sriracha maple flavor didn’t quite hit the mark for me (leaning more toward sweet than spicy), I recognize that taste preferences vary, so I won’t hold it...

This place was okay. It filled me up when I needed to be filled up, but it really wasn't anything special. The quesadilla that I got was pretty average and a little pricey. The salsa was kind of bland and the Chipotle sauce was a little overpowering.

One thing I did appreciate though was that they took my order at about 20 min before they closed.

The place had a very trendy vibe and it was exceptionally clean. The seating was as of any fast food place. You order at the counter and sit down and wait for your order. Very standard.

Overall, I really wish I would have found somewhere else to eat. This place was very mediocre and nothing special. It was a little pricey and I wasn't highly satisfied with the whole experience. Yet while it does seem like I'm completely bashing the place, it's really not that bad. The place is just average and lacks an identity. But it is very modern and clean, which are very...

Definitely give Hungry Hippie Tacos a try if you want a tasty taco in Duluth. I have been here twice and the restaurant is a great addition to Duluth and Lincoln Park neighborhood. They have excellent fry bread taco and also burritos. The brisket taco/burrito is incredible. Excellent and tasty brisket. My wife has gotten the vegetarian Best Damn Yam taco and really liked it. Beer selection is good for a small restaurant with about 8 taps and a can selection. The chips and queso was also tasty. Also, one fry bread taco or burrito is a meal for most anyone. I can't wait to come back in the summer and eat outside.

So good! Fry bread was fabulous and a fry bread taco is a genius idea. Easy to order, quick service, comes out hot, comes out delicious. I was recommended brisket, and I was dead set on having chimichurri on it. I really liked my taco, but if I were to give any feedback I’d say it would be nice to have more options for what’s on it. Cilantro? Tomatos? Peppers? Mexican style carne asada? Salsa Verde? It was very good regardless. The other thing is that it’s definitely expensive. This feels like a place that could be a fairly cheap food truck, but it’s definitely not cheap.
