Went on a random weekday. Ambiance is very blue. The couches aren’t really comfortable because the depth is so deep that you have to sit up to the table the entire time you are eating. Pretty uncomfortable. I ordered Idili (which comes with 4 pcs) and Chole Bhature. I asked what the difference was between the two Idili options - Idili vs Sambar Idili- and it’s basically that the Idili will be separate or if you want it served in the sambar. It didn’t come out with the two different chutney, just sambar and coconut chutney. The sambar didn’t taste like the regular sambar and has a slight spice to it, but not too bad. The Chole Bhature came out with a lot of Chole and one Bhature and some raw onions. I had to go back and ask for Aachar (pickle), which normally comes with it. Everything was just okay, but nothing wow. It’s close and convenient, so maybe I would go again. But I do think it’s VERY strange when I asked the lady, “what’s the WiFi?” she replied saying they don’t have one. We are in 2025 and all restaurants have WiFi for guests. I guess I won’t be coming here again during my work lunch since I can’t connect to the internet. It would have to be after work...
Read moreThe idea of ordering an IndoChinese dish with gravy and not receiving white rice is completely incomprehensible. Not according to Jay Bhawani you will learn when you have come only to pick up your order. Apparently, when being charged for gravy item or ordering a normal gravy item. The staff will not warn you that you do not get white rice. It is not on the menu and nor is there even an option to order white rice on the menu see you wouldn’t even think that right?
At least the food tasted OK actually was pretty good. I want to like but the unpleasant taste in my mouth from being offered a small sauce, like size container of white rice as supplement to not being given any white rice with the gravy item and then being asked to pay $4.23 for a small white rice definitely does not sit well.
An appropriate response and rectifying this issue would probably erase this off tasting experience and allow me to enjoy the food…or just go to literally anywhere indochinese is served and ALWAYS comes with white rice. Quite literally the simplest thing you can give to make a customer happy.
Do better sir Jay...
Read moreAfter a long wait, an Indian fast food restaurant has finally opened near Duluth/Mall of Georgia/Pleasant Hill, and it’s absolutely worth a visit! We recently tried Jai Bhavani Restaurant at Cherrians Plaza in Duluth and were thoroughly impressed.
We ordered Manchow Soup, Schezwan Noodles with Manchurian Balls, Masala Dosa, and Mango Lassi. Every single dish was delicious, but I must say, I’m now a huge fan of their Manchow Soup—it was outstanding!
The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and offers a welcoming ambiance. Their customer service is excellent, and the owner, Nisha, is incredibly friendly and personable.
I highly recommend Jai Bhavani(@Duluth, Cherians Plaza) to anyone who loves Indian food. It’s a great spot for authentic flavors and a delightful dining experience. we’ll definitely be...
