Rock N Roll Sushi — Restaurant in Duluth

So, we've been to this location multiple times, never had an issue. There wasn't so much of an issue as a lack of attention from the server. Everything about this location has always been awesome.

The owner is very nice, the food is always good, and the atmosphere is always enjoyable. Today, however, i ordered a Volcano roll, and ive never had it served wrapped in aluminum foil... which i thought was weird. I asked the server if they were finished with this yet and his response was, what i can only compare to that of an entitled lack luster teenager by saying, "I mean thats how it comes." Knowing thats never how its been served before.

Another person in my party ordered miso soup and what arrived resembled that of either dirty dish water, or something scooped out of the toilet. Im not a complainer but this experience was unlike the rest we've had and i dont judge a place based on an outlier experience. We all agreed that today must have been some sort of interview day, or a community reach out day by letting members of the community work the kitchen.

Either way, we'll be back, just wanted someone to know since the server had little to no interest in what our concerns were and didnt seem approperiate to voice them to deaf ears.

1 person out of our group enjoied everything she got, so in hindsight, 1 out of 4 ain't...

I LOVE rock n roll sushi but NOT TODAY! I normally go to the Alpharetta location due to parking and it’s ALWAYS the best! I visited the Duluth location since it was 5 mins from where I live and figured what difference does a location make. OH LET ME TELL YOU! IT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE! I am severely disappointed in this location. I have been getting my usual at the other location so I know what the food SHOULD be like. I got the wontons and normally they are FULL of cream cheese but NOPE! These were COMPLETELY EMPTY! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM! Also I got the hibachi veggies and rice but they messed that up too! HOW?! The veggies are normally zucchini, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, and carrots sautéd in teriyaki sauce. NOT HERE! I got thinly sliced cucumber, carrot, mushroom, onion NOT TOSSED in any sauce and barely cooked! I also scaly like I had fresh veggies that goes with like a poke bowl. I never leave bad reviews but I just wanted to voice my disappointment in this location. I really want to return to the restaurant and let them know of my dissatisfaction but parking is crazy and they won’t care. I will NEVER RETURN to this location again! LESSON LEARNED! I will forever go to the Alpharetta location where it’s ALWAYS RIGHT!...

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!!! I have been here multiple times both by myself and with friends and family, we absolutely love the food, staff and environment! Jonathan, Ryan & Daisy all do a great job serving! Definitely my favorite sushi spot without a doubt, and the hibachi is next level! My personal favorite rolls are the Crowd Surfer & Jailhouse, and if I'm feeling hibachi, I go for the Shrimp solo. I also definitely recommend the headbanger shrimp appetizer!!! The restaurant has very comfortable seating with cool decor, is very cleanly, and they play music videos from all different ages of rock on the TVs! There is also outside seating on the patio! Every Friday of the month, they host some sort of event, and it typically is Karaoke. It is so much fun! We love DJ Robby Rob! The owner, Jason, is very personable and friendly! Michael, the manager, is absolutely phenomenal and provides excellent customer service! Everything about this place rocks!!! I will keep coming back for a while, and am on a personal mission to share it with everyone I know!...
