So the last few times I went to the west duluth taco John's, was absolutely horrible. Food was cold and soggy after long waits. One time I had to wait because customers in front of me, 3 different people, had to get their orders fixed and it took so long for each person to even be helped. They lack staff and when they do have staff, they are lazy and do not have any kind of service skills. I can see customers get angry due to the wait time alone, and then getting incorrect orders. Went through the drive through tonight for the last time and we waited a very long time. They were sending cars to go park to wait for their orders, and they still didn't get them right. Where is the management at this place? How are they still in business? The only thing they have going for them is the food, and only when its cooked correctly and on time. I love taco John's, but I will absolutely NOT be back at the west duluth one again, unless they change things. And im sure I wont even find out if they do. Most people I know have quit going there. If you dont want to lose customers and go out of business, then change your employees or management and get some better training. Teach these people how to do their jobs, and how to attend to customers. Help them or replace them! They clearly need major...
Read moreI used the Taco John's app to place my order and dined in. I saved time and money using the deals available with signing up for an account. The employees were friendly, courteous, and helpful. I ordered the Buy One Get One Free promo for the Meat and Potatoe Burrito, an order of Potatoe Oles w/ extra seasoning, a side of sour cream and nacho cheese. My order was ready and brought to me within minutes. Everything was hot, fresh, and prepared to order. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out the napkin dispenser! I asked an employee for help and they politely said it was probably out of napkins and immediately brought napkins. I'm spending a lot of time talking about napkins. I've never seen a napkin dispenser like the one at Taco John's. It had buttons and it was electric...but, enough about napkins. The dining area was very clean, there was plenty of seating (both booths and movable chairs) in different sections. While I was enjoying my food I received my first notification from the app. As a Thank You, I had unlocked a free Chicken Taco with any purchase every day for the next 7 days! I was impressed with my entire experience from ease of ordering to leaving with enough left over for another meal. Thanks Taco John's! Oh, and the Apple dessert...
Read moreA few weeks ago I stopped thru to get some food, unfortunately I got none of what I ordered and didn't notice until I got home. Luckily they were more than willing to make it right and said they'd send me coupons for free food. But when they finally came in the mail, it was a coupon for one free menu item..which was disappointing considering I spent $20 and the order was completely wrong and poor quality.
Figuring it was a one off thing, I went back tonight to try and use up the coupon, along with a gift card. So I pulled up to the window to pay, but they had not applied the coupon for the free menu item. Before I could have them correct it they then told me their gift card system has been down for 2 weeks and that I wouldn't be able to pay with it.
I understand we live in difficult times right now along with supply chain issues, but I definitely will never stop at this location again. I know it's fast food and you can't expect five star service, but it just seems like nobody there cares...
