Taqueria Testal — Restaurant in Duluth

Really great little spot! The carne asada tacos were great and came with everything you need. The quesadilla was very solid. They give a ton of accoutrements for the tacos but the quesadilla was just chicken and cheese. For $10 I was hoping for some lettuce, sour cream or salsa. It comes with a side of rice and beans. I opted to forgo the beans and they did ask if I wanted double rice which I passed on. Chips and salsa are again solid but no different then other places, but you have to pay $3 for the chips and salsa. All in my total was about $22 for chicken quesadilla, 2 tacos, chips and salsa and a can of Coke. Not horrible with prices as they are now a days. Also I walked in about 5 minutes before closing in their defense. They are open 11-8 so I had to get my order to go. The restaurant was very nice and clean! Little hot with floor fans running. Not sure if that’s because the A/C was broken or if that’s the norm but it was tolerable. Overall a great place, and I will definitely be back. Tacos were most def on point AND they let you choose corn or flour for them.

They served me ice cold burrito with chicken being cold in center. The waiter came after I flagged him and he just told me that’s how they serve it and made excuses. Never tried to make it good with me, or asked me if I wanted it remade, just if I wanted it to go, or order something else. I guess he wanted me to take it home to heat it up. Because he asked me if I wanted it to go. Seriously?

Here is the thing, don’t take your customer for being dumb. I cook at home. I cook all the time. It’s not like I’ve never eat a Burrito before. You’re assuming that I am just dumb and that I am going to just accept your excuse. When you cook chicken it’s going to be at minimum warm in the center after several minutes. The second you brought the food out the sour cream and and pico de gallo is NOT going to make the meat cold that fast. Which is what he tried to convince me is wrong. I just didn’t know any better…. Here is what you didn’t hear me say: The food was cold and was not enjoyable. I was hoping you’d make it right.

A fresh, fabulous, and fantastic hidden gem for you to test. We have ordered take-out from this place a few times now. The Corn dough is of good quality. Today we had brunch nay early lunch. This place was opened a year ago and is a family-run business. We ordered Tacos with corn flour Chicken, Fish, Shrimp, and Chicken quesadilla with rice. Rice was delicious The prices for the food seemed reasonable. The place is neat and clean. We were welcomed and to be seated where we wished to be seated. The hot crisp Tortilla with Salsa was good.
