As someone who truly appreciates authentic Asian cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem of a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by its laid-back and peaceful vibe. Unlike many bustling, noisy eateries, this spot offers a quiet and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a great meal. Whether you're dining alone, catching up with friends, or having an intimate dinner, the relaxed ambiance makes for an enjoyable and comfortable experience.
The food was fantastic and felt genuinely authentic. I could tell that traditional flavors and cooking techniques were used, and I personally love that the dishes had that slight richness—just the right touch of oiliness and a bit of MSG, which really enhanced the flavors. The dumplings, in particular, were absolutely delicious. They were perfectly cooked with a soft yet slightly chewy texture, and the filling was flavorful and satisfying.
One of the highlights of my meal was the dipping sauce. I love when restaurants get their sauces just right, and this one was spot on. The slight tanginess from the vinegar balanced out the flavors beautifully, adding an extra layer of depth to the dumplings. It complemented the dish so well that I found myself savoring every bite.
Overall, my experience here was truly enjoyable. The combination of a peaceful, welcoming setting and well-executed, authentic food made for a great meal. This is the kind of place where you can sit back, take your time, and appreciate good food without feeling rushed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and cozy dining spot with delicious, comforting flavors. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreA stroke of good luck brought my family and I here today and I'm sure glad it did. A very clean restaurant right off the bat. The real highlight of course was the food. We tried many of the small plates and appetizers: the xiao long bao stand out as one of the better ones in the metro Atlanta region, the wontons with chili oil and the pan fried buns also were very good. The chili oil chicken was a cold dish that was rather surprising but blew us away, as it is not too spicy but very flavorful. The hot and sour soup was very good, and an especially big portion for being only $3. For entrees we had the crispy beef which was very nice and came with an excess of chilis fried with cilantro and green onion. We also got the beef noodle soup which boasts very tender slices of beef and hand pulled noodles.
If you have a low spice tolerance, do not be put off by the spicy sounding dishes as they are actually mild enough that it won't leave you sweating or gasping for but works to accent the dish.
They also have classic dishes that you would find at any other Chinese restaurant and from what I saw on other tables they probably would not disappoint although I will definitely be back to try.
They do provide take out as well, so please give them a shot as I'd like to try the rest...
Read moreSuch a hidden gem!! This is my second time here and we tried their sichuan beef noodle soup, chongqing spicy chicken nuggets, and the spicy wood ear salad. EVERYTHING WAS SO WELL-SEASONED! The portion sizes are very generous too! We shared the beef noodle soup but we still couldn’t finish because there were so many beef and beef tendon chunks and LOTS of noodles. I like how the noodles are thick and the texture was very qq 🤤 most places make the chicken nuggets very dry and you’re basically eating fried batter, but the chef here does a good job frying the nuggets and having them in bigger chunks so they stay more juicy. What surprised us the most was the wood ear dish! It was only $6 for such a big bowl of wood ear salad and it was so flavorful- really whets your appetite! (the yellow pepper they use is a little pickled which adds another dimension to the dish as a whole) !! We killed it in less than 5 mins 😂 And of course we had to end the meal with some Chinese desserts! We got the pumpkin cake with red bean paste and it’s made fresh to order so they came out super crispy! It’s kind of like a red bean croquette. Not too sweet! We will definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes! I haven’t been disappointed yet and I tried 6 different...
