El Molcajete Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Duncan

If you're up for a slightly pricey adventure, El Molcajete is this Mexican restaurant to be at in Ducan, the price is slightly above average in terms of the final bill, but the quality in both service and food you'll be consuming is outstanding.

I ordered the Pollo Chipotle, my wife ordered the Pollo Fundido and it was incredibly delicious, this isn't just a one off either as we consistently order what you see below each time we visit.

The pollo chipotle was a perfect blend of savory and spicy, the peppers complimented the chicken nicely, the chicken itself was moist and i've never had the problem with a fatty piece of chicken from them, i'm extremely picky when it comes to textures.

The beans on the plate are an average fixture, but all together it meshes into a delightful dish, my wife's dish although not a reviewer like myself, was described as 'most' and 'tasteful'.

The flan here is the star of the show however, so sweet it'll make your soda taste bitter, but so light and fluffy that it won't make you feel sluggish afterward, even if you aren't up for a full dinner course meal, you owe it to yourself to grab this dessert and experience it for the first time.

You couple this with a service staff that is both friendly and attentive, plus the fact you get complimentary salsa and chips, while although not special by Mexican restaurant standards, is still fresh and delightful, you'll be looking at quite a night for eating out.

I met up with a bunch of friends last night to celebrate my birthday. We were having a great time and it was a big deal for me to be out since I finished chemo, radiation, and internal radiation. My life has changed dramatically due to the side effects of chemo. I deal with not feeling anything from the knees down as well as having issues with my hands where I can only use my index fingers and thumbs. So getting back to last night they staff sang happy birthday which was nice but then our server proceeded to try and smear a small plate of whipped cream on my face. I told her no repeatedly and to stop. She continued and I fought her off the best I could considering what I had to work with as far as my body. I was not happy but laughed it off and tried to keep the mood light for the sake of my friends and family there. Not 15 minutes later she came back and attempted to try and smear whip cream in my face again! I wasn't worried about keeping the mood light anymore. I was angry. I fought her off again. I repeatedly told her no and she persisted. First I'd like to know where in food service aside from medical emergencies is it ever okay to put your hands on a customer? Why when the entire restaurant could hear me shouting no and get your hands off me and help me did a manager or staff member not come and get her off of me? Why did no one even try to help me? I've already suffered enough indignities dealing with cancer and the aftermath. I did not need or expect anything thing like this. It was absolutely a horrible, upsetting, experience I will never forget.

I’m so never going to El Molcajete again. I usually spend 50.00 plus on items a week or more often, but for the last two days my order has been wrong. I specifically ask them what comes with certain dish and to please do not put something on it for I can’t eat it. Well I get home we go to eat and guess what..... what I asked them to keep off they made sure they put in on and more. Ok, I told family they misunderstood, so the next day I go back again I asked what comes in a certain item, was told, then the girl said wait I’ll make sure. She comes back and told me again. I repeated what she said and had her repeat it. Then I told her please make sure it is not in my food because I can’t eat it. Then when she gave me my order I verified with her. Went home and behold what is in my dish the one item I ask not to be in there and a lot of it. So I call to let them know that is twice they made a mistake within 2 days. Got same person, when I explained myself she stated yes she remembered my order, then she had the gall to tell me that she told me that it has that one item in it, and I was told.
