When I first got the room and the young guy that checked me in was very nice things changed when I called to the office to let them know their tv wasn't working. The original person that checked me in and told me he could move me to a different room then this lady comes out of nowhere saying try this to see if it worked. Tried it still didn't work told me try something else that didn't work then their room phone cut off and quit working. Proceeded to call her back from my cellphone. She was coming down the hill to my room at this time yelling I tried calling you back is the phone not working now..I said no ma'am its not and she started yelling more. Then her boss says well we will come fix the tv I said no sir I was told I would be given another room mind you my food I bought was getting cold in the process. The lady meets me in the office throws the new room key down on the counter and says here that room is over there pointing no direction so had to look for the room myself no big right. Read moreI reserved 2 rooms from the Red Roof Inn & Suites Duncan (South Carolina, 29334) for around a week. We arrived late in the evening and bought our own cleaning supplies due to how filthy the rooms were. While my room (room 112) could still be liveable if overlooking the old rotting food in the microwave from the previous tenant that I only found on the 5th day of my stay, meaning nobody even looked in there until then, the other room was a health hazard. The occupant was first assigned to room 111, then 106, then 108, followed by 319. The floors and walls were wet and had running water from either humidity or a leak, one of the rooms had black mold, the clothes and shoes of the occupant were constantly wet, the furniture tops were dirty with an oily residue that we had to clean ourselves, and a strong stench was present in all except for the last room. The management did not ensure that the rooms were cleaned and functioning prior to relocating the occupant until the black mold was found, at which point the manager on duty took photographs of the damage. When I submitted a complaint later on, they didn't even bother to respond. DON'T GO HERE unless you don't care about your health or your belongings...
