Had a really enjoyable experience here! Went on a Monday around noon. It's such a cozy little place with couches and chairs as well as seating at the "bar". We were greeted upon entering and given time to wander around. The woman behind the bar (Whose name I believe was Launa because I heard a couple people later on calling her that) was attentive and friendly. She seemed very knowledgeable and took our order quickly. I had the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and bacon and everything bagel season. It tasted SO good! Honestly the best avo-toast i've ever had and I am a breakfast person so i've had a lot. My friend got a croissant with egg and cheese I think and the croissant was perfectly flakey and buttery. And his latte was very good! I had some sips but just stuck with water for myself.
I'd love to go back and try the wines sometime. It looked like they had a pretty good stock of ones to try or buy. I'd definitely go back! We were the only people there when we first arrived but a few people came in after that. I will say that it was just the one girl and she was doing everything herself including making the food and drinks and handling any customers who came in for to-go items. If you don't understand that this is a small business and plan to get uppity if you can't get your things in 2-5 minutes then go spend your money at mcdonalds or starbucks for inferior food and coffee.
I say that because as someone who looks up reviews before I go somewhere, I saw a couple mentioning the wait. People have gotten too focused on getting things on demand and not caring about the people or businesses who are providing these services. Have compassion. And understand that it's worth the wait, especially when you can see there is clearly only one person working (and working very hard at that!). It's also funny to me because i'll see insane waits at Mcdonald's lines and Starbucks lines but yet people will sit and sit but when you have to get out of your car and stand and wait at a small business somehow that's unacceptable? People lose perspective so easily.
Anyway, like I said, we got our food and drinks quickly and everyone else who came in when I was there was addressed promptly and served. Very good food and drinks...
Read moreCame here with my family (29-May-2022) and the owner or “main” barista was obnoxious. My kids, who are young btw (9, 8 and 7), wanted stickers after purchasing drinks. Two of our kids picked out stickers and I went through the process of paying. There was no word on whether my Apple Pay went through or anything, so I assumed things were good to go. To be honest, all of this could have been avoided had the barista helping us paid attention to the transaction. My kids grabbed the stickers and we sat down to play and drink our coffee/lemonade.
A few minutes later, the main barista or “owner” (assumed she was, since she acted like she was the “authority”), obnoxiously came to our table and said in a loud, condescending tone “did your kids grab the stickers because you didn’t pay!?” Rather than make a scene, I politely followed her back to the register and took out my phone to pay with Apple Pay again. At this point I was still unaware my Apple Pay wasn’t working. I put the phone against their system and once again, this condescending barista in a loud voice and in front of other customers says “I knew it declined!” Since, my kids were around I remained calm and still paid for the stickers, rather than passing to buy it.
I will never come back to this place, especially the way my family and I were treated. A few things: 1) Did you really think we were going to steal your stickers after we just purchased from you?!! Not only that, we stayed, if we were going to be shady why would we stay?!!!!; 2) Maybe try a different approach with other customers rather than being impolite and accusatory?? Or 3) Did you assume because we were of color - we did steal the stickers??
I guess what was the point announcing to other customers the card was declined? It’s not like I couldn’t afford it, I still paid your damn six dollars! Not only that, you didn’t even accuse me - you came over to our table to accuse my kids of taking them! You essentially, accused them of stealing. You def did the most here.
In reality, I feel sorry for you. You looked at a family who was supporting a local business and just purchased from you, and assumed they stole because they were colored or stole because they...
Read moreThe food was not bad but I think overpriced for the products used. All the bread, croissants , etc are bought from like Walmart . I got the avocado toast and it was alright although a bit salty and way too over cooked . The main reason I am giving this place such a low rating is due to the service . The young guy that was taking care of us was absolutely terrible, dude didn’t write a single thing down and got my coffee order wrong. I ordered 2 Frappuccino’s he gave me 1 latte… idk how you confuse a Frappuccino with a latte but it’s probably due to the fact that the guy was fixated on talking to his friend rather than doing his job. Waited like 30 mins to get our incorrect order all because homeboy could not stop talking and flirting to his little friend. When getting our order wrong he even came up w the excuse that he was “out of milk” to make the Frappuccino’s…. Terrible terrible. So disappointing, I would recommend the owner to...
