
First let me start by saying the ladies that did my massage, facial and nails were absolutely fantastic. I'd give them 5 stars if I could leave a separate review.
However, the manager is why I'm leaving a bad review and the issues I had with my gift certificate. My husband bought me a spa day for Christmas and bought the gift online and received the gift certificate in his email. I made my appointment and printed the email, which I brought in.
After I had my services, but before I had my nails painted, I went to the front desk to give them the email in order to pay. The two ladies took about 15 minutes struggling to find my gift certificate number, then called the manager over. I was already getting annoyed because this was the second time I've had this happen. My husband bought me the same gift for Mother's Day one year and they couldn't find the order number, so obviously something is wrong with their system.
The manager comes over and at first tells me it has already been used in June, even though he just bought it in December. Then she corrects herself and says she can't find the order number anywhere in their system or in his account and that I now have to pay another $350 to pay for the services I just received! $350 is a lot of money, but apparently she didn't think so or thought that I had brought in a fraudulent email. Either way, I was completely stressed out and upset. I stupidly paid the $350 instead of just walking out of there, but I wasn't sure if they were going to call the police on me or something. I finished my nails, with my stomach in knots and feeling like I was going to cry. As I was leaving, she ran over to me and said the owner was able to find it in their system and sorry for stressing me out. No offer of a gift card to make up for this happening TWICE or anything.

Read moreI have been going to Spa Bleu in West Dundee for years. Every time I walk in for my appointment, I am greeted warmly. I always feel honored and appreciated during each visit. Everyone works together as if they are family. There are no undertones of strife, making this a place of respite. This visit, I was met at the door by Megan, who greeted me by name and escorted me to Jessica’s station. Jessica always begins each session by actively listening to how I want my hair to look when leaving. She is always incredibly kind and engaging. When you are in her chair, you forget the rest of the world. She is one of the most giving and intuitive people I have ever met. My hair today was long and lifeless. Jessica highlighted and cut and styled my hair as if there was life breathed into it. It is exactly what I asked for upon arriving. Jessica’s skills and her warm professional approach is a work of art. Upon leaving, she helped me choose my products. Megan helped me with checking out and when I asked her if she could help me get my eyebrows in shape for next month, she gave me her time to explain my options. We set-up an appointment. Read moreI had a great massage with Robin on Saturday 07/26/2025. I left the room feeling so relax. The last time I was that relaxed was 1 year ago. I had a facial with Eli right after the massage. The facial was ok. I did not like the fact that the Eli had to use latex gloves on me. The first problem with the facial was that Eli didn't ask me if I was allergic to latex. Second, I felt like she was rubbing a bag on my face the entire time. Third, my hair kept getting tangled with the glove. I didn't enjoy the facial. I was relaxed from the massage and was feeling anxious during the facial because I wanted the section to be over so I wouldn't feel the glove on my face anymore. When I asked the girl at the front if the policy is the wear gloves during a facial procedure, she said yes. I used to go to Spa Blu for massages and facials before but started going to a different place. My husband, for some reason, forgot to purchase my annual certificate at the other place and purchased the certificate at Spa Blu. The spa has changed but I didn't know it changed that much where a facial now is with latex gloves. I'm definitely not coming back.
