Definitely over priced for what was on the menu to what you got. Should have read the reviews before ordering. The Burnt End Dinner was really an appetizer ($13.99 for 5 pieces!). I received 5 cold, grizzle, dry pieces. I did order the fries, which were very salty. My husband ordered the Brisket Sandwich. It tasted more like a chuck roast. If nothing had sauce probably would have not been able to eat due to it being dry. The housemade chips had a garlic, pepper flavor and very salty. The venue raves about the 12 to 18 hours of smoking on their meat, did not have any smoky flavor. At least could put liquid smoke in the sauce to fake it. The drinks over priced. I had mixed drink tall and was charged an extra 0.50. Guess they must need help paying for soda because I am sure if it had an extra shot I would have been charged more the 0.50. There is also a credit card fee ($4) that you are not warned about. There is no sign, the waitress did not say anything. So beware of that. The service was ok. The waitress seemed more interested in making sure the certain types of customers were taken better care of and we were there just as an accessory (...

They've added some new items to the menu and the burnt ends which they did not previously have are excellent, very little fat very little waste.
We've had their smoked wings here before multiple times and we always like them however on this particular trip my wife took notice and said these were the best wings she's ever had... anywhere!
Something about the seasoning and the smoke flavor. She had a bunch of big wings and a small one and we thought the small one might be dry but it was not, it was just as moist as the big ones.
Mixed drinks from bartenders Ryan and Rachell are well made too.
Original review .... This place is the cats patootie for Smoked Meats in this town. We have had a smoked meat platter, the brisket sandwich, the brisket platter, the hamburger, the salmon.
Never a disappointment. The drink prices are reasonable too. Recommend if you're tired of those same old chain places. Boring. Lyles is just 2-3 minutes east of the X Way off Exit 17.

Read moreI ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo for carryout. The woman taking my order didn't give me a pick up time, just an "it'll be ready soon." I picked it up 20 minutes later and it was already cold, as if it had been ready to pick up for 5 or 10 minutes. Not a good sign in terms of quality. The noodles and chicken were overcooked. The sauce was tasteless. The amount of salt and pepper I had to put on it was just for it to have any flavor was unnatural. It was also a pretty small portion compared to most Midwestern restaurants. You'd be better off going to the Dollar General and picking up two frozen meals for a $1 each.
Also worth noting, the owners of this restaurant are clearly anti-maskers and likely anti-vaccers. If they're not even willing to take health precautions in the middle of a pandemic, I can only imagine the lack of health and safety in their kitchens on a regular basis. As someone who believes in investing in local businesses that serve their community, I will not be spending...
