Crazy Burrito authentic Mexican grill dunedin — Restaurant in Dunedin

I came here tonight with my friends and honestly had a shocking experience. I’d been wanting to come here for a while because of the reviews. The four of us came at dinner time on a Tuesday night and were the only table in there but it wasn’t late we came well before closing. The service was crazy bad. The lady was nice but she had no idea what she was doing. When she came to take our order she didn’t speak any English. Which is okay but it definitely made it hard to understand her. Luckily my boyfriend speaks fluent Spanish since he’s from South America, and he ordered for us but she still had no idea what he was saying either. It made ordering quite frustrating and halfway through us telling her our order she literally goes “one minute” and walks away to put together some to go orders. Then five minutes later comes back. It just didn’t make sense. The food didn’t take too long to come out but it wasn’t that great. My burrito was smaller than normal and slightly burned and the horchata tasted watered down. We tried to place a to go order with her but she told us she didn’t have time to take a to go order because she had too many Uber Eats orders. Then we went to pay and she had no idea how to split the check even though we had told her at the beginning we were separate. She ended up charging my friend for two of my drinks. She charged my other friend for our meals and she charged us for my other friends meal. She kept saying sorry but it literally made no sense. It was almost as if the server had never worked there a day in her life and wasn’t trained and was doing the best she could with knowing absolutely nothing. It was very frustrating. Luckily we were in the company of good friends so I didn’t let it get me upset and I honestly felt bad for this lady because she needed more help and was alone. I don’t think I will come back. Maybe if I’m in downtown Dunedin but I made a special trip here from tarpon springs I think I’ll stick to Taco Bar and...

Just moved here from Houston, and was looking for a good Mexican food place hoping to find something comparable to what they offer back in Texas. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and my husband ordered a crazy chela. My strawberry margarita came out after a few minutes, my husband never got his drink. I took a sip of the margarita and it tasted like a slushee, just sugar and ice. I could taste no liquor. I thought this is a small establishment maybe they make them from wine. So I asked the waiter/cashier if the margarita was made from liquor or wine. He went to the back to ask and was told it was Jose Cuervo. Now I’m not an alcoholic but I know Jose Cuervo when I taste it, if there was even half a shot of Cuervo in the Rita I would have been able to taste it. Instead all I tasted was sugar. I sent it back and it was at this time my husband cancelled his drink which was never brought out. Food was good. I ordered the crazy burrito. No complaints, delicious! My husband had the birria tacos with rice, was also very good. My kid’s quesadillas honestly could of used a little more cheese. The green salsas were not spicy at all. And the red salsa was sort of just red peppers blended, no additional spice to it but salt. I ordered thru Grubhub. First the price was way too much - $50 (including fees) for 2 Crazy burritos, steak nacho fries and 1 bottled soda. I have Grubhub+ so delivery was free.

The burritos didn't have much flavor all you could really taste was the cinnamon spice from the chorizo. The burrito was huge, so that was a plus, and it wasn't bad just bland. The steak fries were awful: bland beef chunks, canned nacho cheese sauce and soggy fries. The beef wasn't chewy which was good but it had no flavor. They gave us 2 sides of a green sauce and 2 sides of a red sauce that were so small. Watch out for the red sauce, it was spicy!!

It was all such a disappointment - especially since it came so highly recommended and was so expensive. Maybe in store it will be a lot less expensive but I most likely will...
