Norton's Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Dunedin

Absolutely FLOORED. Came in as a party of 4 with ALL BARTENDERS might I add. Had horrible service from the start, took everyone’s order and walked away before the last person could order. Waited over 30 minutes with the empty drinks sitting at the end of the table. Had one server walk by and make a slick comment to my friend who’s chair was in the way which we didn’t realize and would’ve completely understood if we were asked to move no problem but under her breath said “such an inconvenience”. Had our server finally check in after forever and we told her that the other bartender helped us to which she replied “we’re a team” WHERES YOUR TEAM??? a team where the whole staff leaves a table unattended for an hour? Make that make sense? Then, when we finally got the check after having to walk up to the bar to ask for it, another lady slapped it down on the table and walked off. We wanted 2 checks to which she gave us a piece of paper and a pen and told us to do it ourselves. We walked up to the computer station and waited while we were walked by constantly and ignored the entire time until the male bartender helped us (love him). Never in my life, I have bartended for 4 years and so have my friends. We literally did NOTHING wrong to be treated like this. Let me just say that I understand it was a busy shift, I worked Sunday football this morning myself and was slammed but still didn’t have the time to disrespect my customers the way that we were disrespected....

Place is so ideal for football games, been there several times, food is very good, beer is cold. But sadly beware. Unfortunately after several tries over the past few years we are always stuck with the same terrible server. I have no idea why she works therez she is clearly miserable. She is always terriblly rude, snaps if you ask questions, snatches things from your hands, that is when she actually comes back to your table, she's irritated to take your order, rolls her eyes, annoyed to have to get a pad to write it down, forgets to put it in to the kitchen, so it takes some reminding (imagine how fun that process is!).. Then to see her kneeing down beteeen tables behind.customers to drink shots on the job,...

The place was only half full and it is clear why, money goes where it is treated best. To the owner, reevaluate. She is probably costing you thousands of dollars every month if not every weekend in lost sales. Would love to come back to support your business, but we are at strike three with her. If we try again and she's the option, we will take our business down the street. We don't want to, your place literally has everything else on point.

First-it was later evening. 9 pm. Daughter back from trip-wanted wings. So dry-unable to eat. Worst part was female bartender. She could not stay behind the bar to save her soul! For other people to the left of us at the bar with empty drinks. Two of us sitting there with empty drinks. Three more scattered to the right of us at the bar with empty drinks. And not that she was doing work, she was standing at the end of the bar, talking and laughing! She had two tables still there in the restaurant. Just totally unacceptable. It’s not like everybody there was drinking something special. Mostly beers, looked like two or three people had a mixed drink. Nice comfortable place, lots of seating, small outdoor seating area for smoking. The bartender needs to realize that that’s what pads her bill and adds to higher tips! Just absolutely no reason for that. I had a glass of ice for my drink. It melted all the way down, waiting for her to refill it, then when she did refill it, she poured the new ice into the 1/3 water down glass I already had. She just doesn’t belong in a place like that. If you expect decent service, I suggest going earlier before her shift. Shoulder length blonde hair can’t remember the name darn it!
