We have been looking for some authentic local steakhouses as the normal day to day chains have been leaving us unsatisfied. We are so incredibly happy that we found The Butcher’s Table. We arrived to a friendly face, had a wonderful experience with our food and enjoyed the location, next to a bakery! The ribeye and cowboy ribeye were amazing. The price was adequate. The ribeye had so much flavor. Potato's and bbq bread was also good. The salad was amazing, you must try their blue cheese dressing. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The only request I could imagine, would be that it was pretty cold in the restaurant that evening! Thank you! We will be back!

Relatively, newly opened restaurant in downtown Dunn. Restaurant is now taking reservations using a land line telephone. Upon entering you will see the bar to your right. Waiting time without reservation was about 10 minutes. This is a steak restaurant with a simple, but serious menu: Ribeye, Prime NY Strip, and Filet Mignon. All meals come with the house salad, toast, and baked potato. Steak was cooked to my preference and, it was really good. This literally went from the Butcher's Table to the carnivore's fauces. Come, check it out! Do not go to the restaurant's Facebook page because it was hacked.

First off the blooming leaves you wondering how you've been okay eating it at the "other place all these years. Oh mylanta!!! This onion was amazing! They serve you a chilled salad next that is scrum dum delicious!! 😜 Finally you get a steak of choice. I went with filet. 😉 Most tender and least amount. Of fat. Plated with a baked potato and bread. The Butcher's Table is definitely a good choice for dinner out in Dunn, N.C. The service is just as amazing as the food. That makes this restaurant an all around win!! Tonight was my first visit and we appreciate everything!! Thank you so much! 💜

Edit: Went back and gave them a second shot. Same server. (She even remembered us!) Got there earlier (around 5pm) and this time the service was prompt, friendly and excellent. The food again was delicious. I still think they cook their medium rare a bit too pink but the filet mignon and ribeye are just outstanding cuts of meat. Blooming onion is perfectly done. Great selection of bourbons and scotch. Maybe adding coffee and dessert (some cheesecake in the fridge?) would be a nice touch. But this visit was excellent. Great steakhouse and worth the visit.

(First review) Tough review to write. Food superb. (Although medium rare steaks were served medium.) People are friendly as you can get. But the problem is they don't know how to run a restaurant. There can be no excuse for arriving at 6:30 pm, being seated shortly before 7 and not receiving your dinner until after 8. There can be no excuse for watching three parties arrive after you and all being seated before you. There can be no excuse to see one of those parties, with a different server, finishing their meal, paying and leaving before you even get your main course served. Maybe it was our server - she rarely checked on us and we had to ask her to check on our order it was talking so long. Don't know if I will be back. Steaks were great but I think the poor restaurant management and below par service outbids the food. ...

Solid 4.5 stars.

The food is absolutely fantastic. This is probably my new favorite place to get steak. The fried onion was delicious, and I feel it was a more than fair deal.

The ONLY reason this restaurant is not getting 5 stars is the seating. At first we were seated in a corner and I had to asked to move because I’m claustrophobic and felt boxed in. The staff was extremely accommodating and so kind! Once we were moved, the booths were just too far apart. For my husband and I to sit across from each other and still reach the table I had to scoot to the very edge of the bench and had no back support. It felt like there was a mile between me and the table, and my husband felt the same on the other side.

All in all, the seating took away from the experience a little, but I’d deal with it for the delicious food. If they just adjust their seating slightly this would be 5 stars in a heartbeat. I will definitely be going back and will edit this review if the seating situation...

My husband and I enjoyed our first trip very much! We started with the blooming onion which was amazing. It was not greasy at all and had a good crisp to it. We both ordered steak; I ordered a filet and he ordered a ribeye. Our steaks were delicious and flavorful. The best steaks we have had in a really long time. Salads were portioned well! The only minor thing I would suggest is a different bread (it was a roll that was a little hard and not much taste). I think something like Texas toast or a brown loaf would be a better option. But, honestly, by the time the bread came with the meal, we had already had the blooming onion and salad, so not too important. Our waitress was very attentive and you could tell all the staff was working really hard!!! Great...
