Well this experience started a couple of days ago when we had to find a battery for my son's Casio watch. We had purchased his watch at the local Kohl's store so we originally took it back there. Come to find out they no longer change out batteries on any watch purchased there. The cashier suggested that we take the watch to Battery Outfitters behind Target in Joplin. I was hesitant at first because Casio watches are notorious for not working right after you change the battery out and it's an even bigger pain to have it sent in to a Casio watch center. We chose the lesser of the two evils and gave Battery Outfitters a try. My wife took the watch the first time and had a new battery put in. The gentleman put the new battery in and handed the watch back to her. She then asked what the balance was. He said that there was no charge because you get one watch battery free on Saturdays. That's awesome. The watch worked fine for one day and then the screen went blank. Very odd. So I brought the watch back to them to find out the problem. The gentleman who waited on my wife the first time waited on me. Good deal. He remembered the watch and took it in the back to check it out. Come to find out the new battery was faulty and so he put a new one in. It happens sometimes. The place was busy the whole time I was there. Everybody was helped in a timely manner. Large batteries were handled by the customer service representatives to the vehicles. Overall...
Read moreMy boat did not start because I knew my battery was bad. This is the second time I couldn’t get my almost 700 dollar Odyssey battery Warranty out. The first time I had to pull teeth to get my battery changed out because they kept saying it was good. They finally changed it out and my boat started to run again and then a couple years later the Odyssey battery goes out again. I take it up there to get it changed out. They tell me once again the battery is fine and I kept telling them over and over that it’s not I know it’s not. They tested. The battery kept telling me it was good to the point they would not warrantee it out and it was still under warranty so then I ended up buying another Starting battery and of course the boat starts. There’s two times they’ve tested my battery saying it’s good when it wasn’t and both times I’ve had to switch batteries out and then the problem was fixed. They have Screwed me twice now by saying my battery was good when it’s not. So now I’m out about $1000 because of batteries because of them. Worst customer...
Read moreTried to replace watch battery. It wasn’t able to be done, which is totally fine, I knew the back was on pretty tight. He wasn’t rude or anything either. But a few things were upsetting. First thing that alarmed me was he didn’t even unlink the band before attempting to twist off the back. This could potentially damage the band or make it pop out, which ending up happening. Then he took out a cheap tool to unscrew the back, I have the same one I got on Amazon for $3. More importantly, there wasn’t any sort of protective plastic film put over the watch before twisting the back off, to prevent it from being scratched. My watch ended up with some deep scratches on the back. It just seemed like very little care was given. Luckily it wasn’t an heirloom or a $2000 watch, or else I would be a...
