24 Elite Gyms Northpark — Local services in Joplin

I've been going to this gym for 5 years and have mostly really loved it for the price. They do give a small teacher discount, but I can't remember exactly what it is. For a basic membership that includes childcare, showers, lockers, tanning, red light therapy, and access to their individual-use equipment, the price cannot be beat in the area. To have access to their more specialized equipment and to classes, you have to pay quite a bit extra. That extra price is the only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars. The Y has a better price for those that are looking specifically for classes, but the Y is very busy and I don't think the childcare or facilities are as nice.

The showers are nice and relatively clean most of the time. The childcare is always super sweet to us, too. Even when my kids are acting like fools, the staff are great with them and always keep me in the loop if one of my kids needs...

Would NOT recommend. NOT CHILD OR PARENT FRIENDLY. BUT THEY WONT TELL YOU THAT UNTIL AFTER YOUVE PAID. We paid over $100 for my husband & I to sign up the same day that we toured the gym. We were never informed that children were not allowed even after mentioning how excited I was to find a place that felt safe as a new mom! Yet of course, after they got our money. They inform us that we cannot have our child ANYWHERE in the gym. He is 3 months old & l am not hiring a babysitter to go to the gym. After this discussion, we requested a refund as we had only attended the gym twice since signing up. They denied & said they would only give us a half refund, so refund...

My husband and I have been members at 24 for quite a while now. We live close to the Webb City location which is nice and convenient. The nice thing about 24 is that when I am home with our daughter and decide I want to go workout, I can easily drive to the Joplin location on Northpark Ln. They have child care there. The staff is excellent, and friendly. Also any 24 gym location I have ever been to is always clean, and the people (staff and members) are friendly. If you do not know how to use something you can literally ask anyone, and they will help you. We will always have a membership here. I would highly recommend this...
