We typically enjoy getting our kids & grandkids together and eating at IHOP. This trip though, our grandkids, 3yr & 1yr olds, started touching the back wall, which looked disgusting! We'd noticed it the week before. Then they lifted the curled back wallpaper, that then revealed what appeared to be mold. There are no other areas that a group of our size will fit, so asking to move wasn't an option. We typically have 5 adults and 3 little ones. The kids didn't move around as much in the past, so it wasn't until recently that we noticed that the wallpaper really needed replaced back there. Then, to add to that, IHOP is normally the only place that my husband and I can get gluten free breakfast. (Gluten friendly in IHOP terms) We are actually allergic to gluten; it isn't just a diet choice. However, on this particular visit, I feel like someone in the kitchen may have taken it that we just made a "diet" choice to not eat gluten. Part of my "gluten friendly" pancakes didn't look like they usually do, but I was hungry and didn't give it a lot of thought, until the sharp pains hit! Even then, it didn't fully register. Later, when I had my leftover pancakes and had more severe pain that continued to intensify, I stopped eating and knew what was happening. 😢😟 These things won't stop us from eating at IHOP, but next time, I'm going to be VERY adamant that they be cautious with my food b/c it IS an allergy, not a choice. We will also point out to a manager that something MUST be done about their south wall! We could report them to the Health Department, but I'd rather make sure that the right employee is actually informed of the issue and has an opportunity to correct it, before...
Read moreThe worst experience as a regular customer. I went in to get my normal to go order banana French toast strawberry syrup on the side. I waited ten minutes seen nobody so I called the store phone to get someone’s attention let it ring a few times while standing up front. A girl named Chelsea brings my order out and I ask for my strawberry syrup I usually get she said I need the regular syrup back and me confused. I say that’s for my French toast and the strawberry syrup is for my eggs. She gives me a very rude look and starts screaming at me saying girl you don’t gotta be rude. I explained that I wasn’t being rude I was just telling her what the syrup was for. Can I please get the syrup and a manager at this point. She goes back to the kitchen screaming about what was said I can hear her out in front counter while she’s back there bashing me to the manager . She brings my syrup back and says anything else I said yes the manager. She goes back there saying the lady still wants you. As the manager comes out she follows behind her and stays right across from me. While I’m explaining to the manager what happened she cuts me off the server Chelsea and starts arguing with me in front of the manager while the manager just stands there allowing it to happen. I explain that I’ma customer and I don’t deserve to be treated this way to where I’m shaking and she’s continuing to holler at me in front of the manager. So I asked her to let the manager do her job and talk to me without her around. I had to record her because the manager was standing there allowing her employee to scream at me and make me uncomfortable to the point I was...
Read moreCierra herra lied. We watched her berate a waitress and lied to the manager afterwards lied on Google reviews. Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous. Cierra said some derogatory statements about Chelsea said she was going to get her fired and did. None of the statements was true Cierra demanded strawberry syrup and Chelsea remained calm and got it for her. Chelsea was pleasant even while Cierra berated her. It's a shame that management doesn't stand up for their employees especially when a Cierra was yelling customer is always right and she was calling corporate calling Chelsea the n word. Manager on duty looked like she was on something and did not take up for Chelsea just told her to move. Chelsea was a amazing waitress she would remember our drinks kept them filled quick with our food and was always always a great waitress and lovely girl with a great attitude. We've been here multiple times a month and we've watched her endure hateful comments about her watched people leave a dollar or less, she handled it gracefully and always smiled. Several of us would come to eat here just for her customer service, but we won't be back and we'll make sure others know how IHOP treats employees and lying customers. Cierra straight up lied on her review and to management and she said she was going to make sure she was fired. We even stood up for Chelsea and told manager was a lie but she didn't listen and tonight when they said she wasn't here we left and...
