The food is usually good but I have noticed that because of the color of my skin the portions definitely not the same for darker skin folks. (I am white) They really load up the black folks plates eaten there several times this month. At first, I thought nah that isn’t happening when I was by myself. I have taken a friend that noticed the same thing twice 2 weeks ago. Both days we both observed it. . I enjoy the home cooked style food. So that is why I have .gone back. Noticed it the first time that I was there as she loaded up everyone’s plate before me, I thought maybe they are running out but it happened every time that I have been there so far. I have thought of joking about it to the staff to make them aware . They seem nice or maybe they think that I would not eat it all, not sure. Just wanted to note it. Perhaps management will care. First of all ever since they got a new staff, that’s predominantly Hispanic instead of black most of the Hispanic ladies are very rude and they don’t take the time to go and check with the cook to see what will be served and when it will be served. This food is unseasoned, I typically get the fried chicken, dark meat with cabbage and mashed potatoes and gravy. However, the lady told me today that she couldn’t tell me when the mashed potatoes would come out because they had a new cook like one thing had to do with the other. When I took the food home, I realize that the cabbage was unseasoned as well as the mac & cheese that I had to get because she refused to go back and check when the mashed potatoes would come out. I also had a hair in my food. When she got to my mom‘s plate, she tried to give my mom fried chicken that the skin have been burnt off of and when my mom told her that’s not a piece that she wants it she started to get argumentative with my mom and say all of them were the same. The service is usually good but the Spanish woman serving the food told me the one price for the ribs and charged me another. When I asked for a receipt because I was clearly overcharged she said oh I emailed it to you. I pull up the email and just like I thought she charged me a different price then she told me. I take my phone to her and say ma'amI'm gonna keep the ribs but I just want to show you that you charged me something different than what you told me. She then lies and said she told me that price when the other Spanish lady is the one who told me the price. Than she tells me she shown me the screen which was a lie! I asked for a Manger and she told me she's in charge. I ask for the owner and she point at the serve safe on the wall saying it's Mike. I ask when will he be in she said he won't be in. A simple apology for the misunderstanding would have been enough but to lie to my face and be rude is unacceptable. When I go there I purchase a meal for everyone in my house hold.
