WOW! That' the only word I can use to describe this Pizza and Calzone shop. I arrived just before closing and was expecting the, "We are about to close look," but that never came. The service was exceptional and they were happy to see another customer. I ordered the #2 in a medium Calzone to go. They had it made fresh, and done in about 10 minutes and it looked, and smelled great. And it was huge. It was loaded with toppings. I was so impressed I thought I would give it a try again to see if they could repeat. Well, it was even better the second time the next night. This time I tried the #7, small Calzone. I was still too big for one person, but it was just as good or better that the night before. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food is way under priced for the quality, taste, and amount that you are served. It may be a long time before I find a Pizza place as good as this one. Thanks for the experience and I can't wait to come back to town and eat here again.

It pains me to write this, but this is quite possibly the worst (non-franchise) pizza I think I've had in the triangle area in at least the last decade. This includes the unfortunate pizza from Pizzeria Veritas (POST-ownership change of July 2023; which used to be at, if not THE top pizza in the area). The protein toppings tasted rotten, the cheese was not melted all the way through. The dough was flavorless. I think I may have even detected a cleaning agent in one of the bites. The spinach on the spinach/meatball pizza was awful. I do not think the meatballs are homemade (as advertised). If so, they were made in a broken home, devoid of love and affection. I'm surprised by the high rating. The prices were reasonable though. And as an added convenience, its located next to the post office.

I ordered a custom calzone and it came out pretty weird. I’ve never had a calzone so…wet? It seems like the dough was a little too thin and cutting into it every time the liquid was just pouring out of it. All of the spinach was piled in the middle in a big heap so I’m not sure if that was the problem but other than that, the smoked chicken also had a strange taste and I mostly avoided it. I also had a cannoli that was really tasty but other than that I probably wouldn’t come back based on this experience. Especially not when the calzone I made came out to $16. Why are cheap ingredients like spinach, garlic and onion $1.50 each to add??

I stopped by this place at the request of a friend. We atmosphere is okay, and is reflective of a typical Italian themed restaurant in a mid to higher end strip mall. They have outdoor seating so that's really great. Their menu is on the wall and they have daily specials that they change up, that offer unique options for flavor variations. They have a good variety of food from pizza's to sandwiches to salads and more. And the prices are pretty wonderful, especially when you consider how well made and delicious the food is. We ordered a large pizza to split between three people. They let us put different toppings on each half which is nice but not unexpected. And I ordered a small salad for $5 as in addition for myself. And my friend ordered 10 wings to split between the table. The small salad let me just say was huge. I was impressed. It was well made and delicious and I'm very picky about my salads. The wings were spot on and dry rub with old bay seasoning , which we went with instead of a traditional buffalo wing sauce. We picked a white sauce pizza which was utterly delicious. Perfectly baked, with plenty of toppings without overwhelming the pallet. And the ingredients were very good quality. We got a regular crossed but they do offer several gluten-free crusts if you have the need or desire. This is definitely a hidden gem and I will be back anytime. I'm in town and needing to grab food. Overall, I'd say this is a five star place. Especially considering the quality, flavor, and price. They're not pretentious and that is how they keep their prices...

I have been coming to pop's for the past year, the food and customer service is always great, never had a problem, until 5/6/2018 @ 11:30 am, when I ran into the rude owner. My husband and I went into the restaurant for a good, cheap pizza like we always do at least once a week, the young lady was nice as always great customer service from her, but that owner(the guy who made my puzza) needs to take a customer service class because he is not customer friendly at all and me being a business owner myself, I know what I witnessed today was not customer etiquette. You should have apologized for the incident and offered to make another pizza Sir, but instead you walked away like you didn't see a damn thing, and got pissed off at me because I was pissed off at your lack of service. This just made my husband and myself say we will not patronize pop's pizza anymore, because the...
