Subway — Restaurant in Durham

I will never eat here again & here's why. Long story short, the Hispanic older looking female with the ponytail and glasses, sometimes no glasses but same female, her service was so rude, obnoxious, nasty, demeaning, hateful towards me that I actually changed my mind on getting the sandwich at the register. After I said nevermind, no thanks, she yells "GET OUT!" When she said that I just looked at her in shock like ??? Then she started yelling about me to the other customers in line bc I was still standing there. I quietly walked towards the exit and she 1!was still yelling at me. Said that she was going to call the police on me and spray mase in my face. She ran from behind the counter and raged at me like a raging bull when I told her that she was not going to lay a finger on me. Bc I was quietly standing there not moving, in shock bc all i wanted was some tuna, told me I was black burnt charcoal, told me I was ugly, mocked my speech disability, put her finger in my face, continued to charge at me bc I was looking at her watching how she was acting towards me just bc I said nevermind. She also misgendered me, she followed me outside to my car, she continued to yell at me outside the store all while other black customers were present while she said racist stuff to me. I got in my car and left bc my blood sugar was already low and I really just need my sandwich. Do not eat here. Do not eat here. DO NOT EAT HERE. If I could give a rating below zero I would. She looked like she was the manager on duty bc the other worker was a teenager. All I did was say nevermind, no ty. Then I paid very close attention to how she went off bc I've never seen anyone act like that over something small. My brother just died and I really didn't need to deal with all this extra but I will say that we serve an awesome GOD and I must be on the brink of greatness the way she attacked me. Those were demons that she was fighting, not me. Still don't make it right but vengeance is not mine. I'm just glad she didn't physically attack me....

Subway 2405 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd

Three times I have been to this particular Subway. The first two were pretty bad, to say the least. The lettuce was brown or starting to brown and the mix of vegetables was poorly mixed. (Cucumbers were mixed in with peppers) Most of the employees had an air of not caring, and too few seemed like they did. There’s the short-haired young guy whose name I don’t know. He’s disrespectful and couldn’t care one bit about his job, much less doing a good one. On my third and final visit, he pulled down his face covering and started making my sub. On telling him I wanted someone else to make my sub, he asked whether I was the mask police, and snickered at me. I rarely ever condemn anyone, but that boy is most decidedly not a good employee. He is quite the opposite. I have no hesitation in saying that this Subway needs to rid themselves of their bad apples. The few good ones they have are not enough to sustain their image and repute. To better themselves, they have no recourse but to shed their bad employees. You can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs, right? I spoke with one of the managers on the phone and he asked me to give them one more chance. Alas! That ship has sailed and I couldn’t oblige. I won’t be giving this Subway anymore chances. Maybe I’ll review the situation in six months or a year from now, when they’ve clarified who they need there and who they don’t. Good...

Review for SUBWAY® - Discriminatory Service

I have never experienced such blatant discrimination until today at 7:30 PM. I placed an order at this Subway location, and when I arrived to pick it up, my order was inexplicably missing. When I asked for a solution, none was offered. Despite showing my receipt and proof of purchase, they still refused to provide my food.

To make matters worse, two employees, both Hispanic women (one with glasses and one without), used racist slurs in Spanish, not realizing that I understand the language. When they realized I could understand them, their tone changed instantly.

I had to call law enforcement to finally receive my food. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. Do not shop here or conduct business at this location, especially if you are a person of color, as you may face discrimination and poor service.

And speaking to the manager she basically said she do not care and would not do anything to correct...
