Really good BBQ spot! I got the three meat combo with the chicken, ribs, and chopped pork along with fried okra, bbq beans, and the included hushpuppies.

The chicken was really tasty, had a nice smokey flavor, and was still fairly moist inside and easy to pull the meat from the bone and cartilage.

The ribs were seriously good, literally fall off the bone (I almost dropped a rib because I picked it up from the meaty side), it didn't even need bbq sauce, nice meaty proportion, these ribs are definitely in the top 5 ribs I've had across the states.

The chopped pork was a bit disappointing, as the meat itself was a bit dry and "crumbly" almost, the bbq sauce didn't help with the texture or flavor of it.

The bbq beans were okay, a bit too tomato flavored for me, but still tasty. The fried okra was delicious! Every piece was nicely battered, fried, and crispy. The hushpuppies were probably some of the best I've had at a bbq joint! They were well seasoned, so it was super tasty and nice and crispy,

Overall this place is definitely a high scoring bbq place of the ones I've been to, I'm giving it a 5 because I feel it's definitely worth going to and I definitely want to come back to try the other meats. If this app had a more specific individual scoring, I think it'd definitely fall in a 4.5-5.0 range which is about where it's at now overall.

Ten out of Ten. As you can see my plate is gone. It was absolutely delicious, I wanted to take a picture before I started eating but the smell and visual had my stomach on go and once I got that first bite I just couldn't stop 😭.

Parking is a little tight I believe they share with another restaurant but I pulled up just in time to get a front door spot yay..

Menu is on the wall with many options. I got the chopped barbecue with the red potato salad and greens... OMG let's start with the Barbecue 10/10 it was chopped and juicy I asked for extra BBQ sauce . It has like a vinegar based flavor but sweet BBQ after it is amazing. This comes CHOPPED by itself or on a SANDWICH I believe it's like a toasted Texas toast( I could be wrong).

The potato salad had nice chunky potatoes with a great base especially with the relish it was absolutely delish...

The greens AMAZING cooked to perfection with a slight sweet taste it was so good.. I can't even explain .. the size was just perfect I didn't have to slurp my greens up cause it was super long 😅.

Checkout was quick I was kind of bummed they didn't have the creme soda bottles but the they have other options FOUNTAIN DRINKS, BOTTLED SODA, CANS, WATER.

I was referred here by a lady at Duke Cancer Clinic when I called for an appointment. We LOVED the food here! I got the regular plate of ribs with collards and mac/cheese. All of it was excellent. The chile rub on the ribs added a great extra zing. Husband had chopped pork butt with potato salad and bbq beans. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Thanks to all the staff for a terrific late lunch.

Update: We were back at Duke Cancer Clinic for 2 checkups on 8/31/20. Since there was a time gap between appointments we decided to get lunch delivered rather than pay twice for parking. We checked the menu, called here to check if they delivered or if we needed to use an app. We were very disappointed to find the Q Shack is now closed on Mondays. I certainly understand the need to have days off but wonder about the loss of customers on Mondays. The Cancer Clinic generally sets a lot of appointments on Mondays, mine have always been Mondays for 4 years. We drive from Virginia so we aren't here often, sure did miss those ribs! I will check in March anyway to see if the hours have changed again, can't give you up!
