The food was fantastic with a beautiful presentation. The fresh rolls were very mid, though. They weren't the worst I've had but nowhere near good ones, so I wouldn't order them again. I loved the number of duck dishes that they had on the menu as well as unique dishes that you never see in what I call an "American" Thai restaurant. If you are looking for authenticity, go here! One very frustrating thing was that our server didn't stay at our table long enough to take our order, and there were only two of us. She brought water to our table and then left. She came back to our table with food menus, and I had to stop her from leaving so that I could order my drink, but she walked away before my daughter could order her drink. When she brought my drink to the table, I had to stop her again so that I could order appetizers and my daughter could order a drink. Basically, it took 5 visits before we actually had our entire order placed. 🫤

As a huge fan of thai food, I am a little disappointed with the food here. We went as a group and ordered a lot of dishes, and every dish is kinda sweet. Even though we ordered it as medium spicy. We ordered drunken noodles with chicken, Khao soi with fried chicken, tom yum soup with shrimp, basil fried rice, Bangkok curry fried rice etc... there is no flavor at all in some of the dishes like Basil and Bangkok fried rice, and shrimp in soup was a little smelly. Even though we complained about Basil fried rice, there is no reaction. I also ordered fried banana dessert, and it is definitely not my taste.I felt a little weird with the texture. Overall, thai iced tea was really good, and in food, appetizers were good, like chicken satay , crab wonton and main entrees , drunken noodles and Khao soi were good and can be better. The remaining are okay.

I hadn't had Thai food in a while, and me and two of my business partners were looking for a location where we could enjoy some good food and have a short meeting. This location is conveniently located in downtown Durham, and they had WiFi, which was a plus for us. Depending on the time of day you come here, you may have issues with finding parking but we walked over from Chapel Hill Street. I ordered the shrimp Pad Thai and hot sake, which was so good! One of my friends ordered their drunken noodles, which she really liked. I will likely order that the next time I dine here. The staff were friendly, and our food came out pretty quickly. Side note: if you like people watching, this is a good place to choose because you see all kinds of things happening and people walking by because of where it's located lol

We had seen great reviews of this place and ordered takeout over the phone on a weekend afternoon for 4 people- we all love Thai and always order our favorite dish at any new place we try. Food was ready quickly and was hot when picked up. The chicken satay was delicious and flavorful- definitely the best dish we ordered. The peanut salad dressing was very good- even though the salad itself is only iceberg lettuce with a tiny amount of matchstick carrot slices. Two people ordered pad Thai with chicken one ‘hot’ and one ‘Thai hot’. Both people felt the pad Thai had overall good flavor and was a quality dish, but the spice level just wasn’t there- more like a barely medium spice level even for the Thai hot. The drunken noodles- 3 of the 4 of us found it inedible due to the amount of fish sauce used. Fortunately, the one person who ordered it still enjoyed it but by the end of the dish he stopped too because the amount of sauce left in the bottom of the container made everything left taste like straight-up fish oil. As far as the green curry with chicken Thai hot: the curry lacked any flavor, had almost no heat (not even close to a medium) and tasted mainly like coconut milk with just a hint of basil. As far as the ingredients there were maybe 8 tiny red and green bell pepper slices in the entire curry which was an entree size and that is being generous. We may try again and reiterate upping the spice level (which we did over the phone and all food was labeled with the ordered heat level), but most likely we will just go back to other local Thai places that we know has the heat/flavor...

My wife and I decided to dine here yesterday for lunch. After taking a look at the menu on the door we knew we would find something we like. Due to covid my wife and I do not go out to eat as much as we use to, but we decided to dine in because the tables were spaced out and there were only a few people there. We ordered the Bangkok wings as an appetizer and they were amazing. The breading on there wings were completely different then your ordinary wings and the sauce was a perfect mix between sweet and spicy. My wife ordered the massaman curry dish with vegetables and I got the drunken noodles with chicken. I thought I knew what my wife's curry dish would taste like however once I tried it it blew away with the taste. Also, our entrées came with a salad that had a peanut dressing, which was great. Finally, we got the fried bananas which were better than the ones they have at PF Changs. I will say it would be nice for them to come with ice cream but it was still good. Once we received the check I caught myself still smiling because it was a great price to see. I have spent more money at Panara and have received less food. Overall, the food was amazing, the service was great and the atmosphere was perfect. You have to try this restaurant if you are...

This place is awful! I NEVER write bad reviews on places with the current state of the economy but this was the worse. My money is very important to me and i feel like this place definitely took it (my money) with zero return. I ordered a very simple red curry with shrimp. I asked for veggies to be added. And I also ordered veggie spring rolls. It was a special that had a choice of soup or salad. I noted that I would like soup. Standard right? Nooooo. I got a super watery curry. Im talking soup like in texture or lack of. The “added veggies” were cooked down stewed (mushy) in this salty watery red curry. It is not what is pictured online. I thought okay maybe it’s soupy bc I can put it over the lovely jasmine rice. But wait? Where is the rice? Assuming at the restaurant still...we will never know. No soup either. I guess they forgot or subbed it with the peanut dressing “salad”. Which I lie to you not is literally iceberg lettuce with thin bits of carrots. The peanut dressing clearly wasn’t made in house. My two little veggie spring rolls were standard nothing special. I will never eat here again. Skip it. Better Thai restaurants in town. Im mostly upset because I'm...
