Edit: We used to love your bread but we recently noticed that they are packing it up in plastic bags now. The bread is not crunchy anymore and doesn’t taste very fresh. We even returned one the other day and your associate told us that this was not baked that day, which is super unfortunate because we paid the full price for a 1 day old bread and no it was not in the shelf by the entrance but at the actual shelf next to the register. We would like to see you bread fresh and crunchy again. The bread is always sweating in the bags making it super tough and not tasty at all.
Also, the associates are super unfriendly and borderline rude. I had no idea how much I was paying since the associate didn’t turn around the screen during payment and not even told me what the check anount was. I asked if the would offer a military discount and she straight out said NO and looked at me as if I asked something unbelievable. This was definitely the last time for me to go there!! I tried to give them a few second chances but it was always something else and especially customer service isn’t that great at all - keep in mind, it’s an 2min transaction but they still manage to be unfriendly!! This is very unfortunate since it’s super close to the Duke building and we use to go there for a morning snack - however, most of my co-workers agree in the declining service and quality of the bakery. We will now start going to another spot or to Loaf down the street.
Original Post: We bought a sunflower bread and planned on having that for dinner tonight. Well, that didn’t happen since we noticed mold on the bread. We just it bought yesterday afternoon so we are quite disappointed. We are not sure if the mold was already there when we bought it but either way, a bread that was bought yesterday afternoon should not be molded by today. And we checked, it’s not flour since you can clearly see the mold spores. Please see...

If you need a super fast lunch at a reasonable price, you can't go wrong with one of their sandwich/side combos. I like the roast beef on 7 grain bread with Sunchips.
But the specials - OY VEY THE SPECIALS - are always so delicious. Whether it's falafel fridays, their black bean tacos, the vegan tofu BBQ sandwich, the veggie burger, or perhaps any of the dishes at one of their vegan or vegetarian pop-up dinners (South Indian night, anyone?) their food has just got it GOIN ON. I mean, it's even making me use caps for goodness sake.
They won't win any awards for decor on the inside, but you can't beat a summer day people watching on the terrace, surrounded by fresh herbs and veggies. And you won't care what the decor looks like after your first bite of their locally sourced, high quality ingredients. You'll be all about the food.

Read moreThis place is 30 minutes from my home but I took the drive to try it out. The sandwich menu that I saw online sounds really good. Well when I got there, they only had 1 sandwich on the specialty menu which was the veggie melt.. it didn’t sound too appetizing since I’m not vegan and love meat in my sandwiches. I decided to try it out anyway since I drove all that way. I was told they could not make it since they were closing early at 4:30. It was 3:30 when I got there which is a whole hour before they were closing so I didn’t really understand why they couldn’t make it. Ended up leaving & eating somewhere else. Just seems like poor planning. & the employees did not seem too friendly. No greeting/smiling and lots of conversations with each other. I’ll try this place again next time and...
