The Dog House — Restaurant in Durham

Customer service sucks!! I waited 10 mins with only 2 people ahead of me just to place my order because the cashier wanted to hold conversation with co workers 🙄 instead of taking care of the customers that were present she made us wait an additional 5 mins to write down door dash orders! Also the menu does not specify as to which hot dog comes with the kids meal! Instead of letting me pay the extra amount for the combo with my choice of toppings they told me I wasn’t able to get the kids meal combo! Very unprofessional! Cashier wanted me to yell my order at her because co workers was so loud beside her! It’s one thing to provide good customer service/ greet customers but it becomes aggravating when you have to wait on your lunch break for a cashier to have a entire conversation with a customer before we can even get our order taken all together!! Cashier was cursing at the register as well! Just an all around unpleasant visit! I have never experienced this before at this location they are usually a lot faster and professional! Some of us are at work and on our lunch breaks I spent 15 to 20 mins of my 30 min lunch break listening to the cashier talk to co workers!!! Food was ok but the bread tasted kind...

About 2 weeks ago I was second person in line at this location. The man in front of me cussed at the cashier because he felt like there wasn't enough chili on his hot dog. He was very dramatic and disrespectful. To keep the story short, I'll just say the cashier was very patient and cool-headed. By the end of the exchange, the customer had sincerely apologized, and he also got his extra chili. I was so impressed that I went back tonight to find out the cashier's name for this review. LASHARON, you politley and kindly let this man know that it was inconsiderate to cuss, and also satisfied his original complaint, even though he delivered it with such rudeness. I'm sure he left feeling like he should temper his tongue more often. And like me, he was probalby impressed with how professionally and quickly you diffused the situation like a true diplomat. On yesterday (December 1, 2014) I visited The Dog House and purchased two apple turnovers and a small Dr. Pepper. When I returned to work and finished my soda a decided to eat my ice, i removed the lid from my cup and saw a dark looking spot in my ice. I shook the ice around and to my surprise i found a ROACH in my cup. I am so disgusted by this and i will never be eating from here again. Its just gross and i will never refer anybody to the facility again. When i called to complain there was not even a sorry mentioned and i hope that in the future this place can get all the roaches OUT!!!!! Please anybody who is reading this please do not eat anything from there, roaches are nasty and to know that i drunk a whole cup of soda with a roach in it makes me want to puke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
