White Rhino Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Dyer

Walked in last night to order food and have a few drinks with my wife. The vibe was snobby, and the decor was weird. We went back out to the car after deciding not to eat inside.

We decided to order online instead. After ordering online and waiting an hour for our food, I went back in to pick it up. After being ignored at the bar for at least 10 minutes and hearing one of the ladies behind the bar trash talk other customers to a few female customers sitting at the bar, they finally asked what I needed.

They told me it would be yet another 10 minutes for my food. So now I'm an hour and 20 minutes in before getting my food. 20 minutes after it was supposed to be done.

Took my food to the car and placed it in a commercial grade catering hot bag, and took it home.

My wife and I sat down and opened the bag to get the food out. After getting everything out, we discovered that what that wait and hassle was really worth...

Garden Salads were okay. The tomatoes were soured, however, and the cucumbers tasted like onions. The poppy seed dressing tasted like it had gone bad a few days before a few days ago. The lettuce and croutons were good, though.

On to the entree... Fried Chicken Dinner... At this point, I thought the entree was the worst thing I had thus far. Just wait. There is more! So the fried chicken was EXTREMELY. DRY tasted like the oil hadn't been changed in 2 - 3 weeks and left the chicken flavorless besides the burnt oil taste. The chicken was deplorable.

So I wish I could tell you that after all that, my night was all worth it by having some of the best bread pudding I even had in my life. Like I said, I wish I could tell you that. Unfortunately, the bread pudding was the WORST bread pudding known to all human kind. That is the kind of bread pudding you don't even serve to prisoners.

Should I talk about the cheesecake....? Nah ill leave something for someone else to give a bad review about. I will say the filling was good. The crust... well try it for yourself if you dare!

NOTE TO THE OWNER: The quality of food we receive is such quality that I can tell this is the level put out on a regular basis. This was not... "My cook is having a bad night" food. The food was ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! My dog... who eats everything, btw refused to even touch what we were throwing away.

Great place. Didn’t have my ID came in to eat and drink water and iced tea. Nice jukebox. Access to jukebox is limited for the hours of bingo and im guessing trivia. They have a set playlist for these hours and if you queue songs they will keep playing throughout the bingo/trivia and you’ll lose those credits. Only downside!! Everything else here was top notch! FAN FREAKING TASTIC service from my waitress Haylee and another waiter named Zach, I just wish the BUSINESS OWNERS or managers WOULD INFORM the wait staff to INFORM CUSTOMERS about bingo and trivia hours RIGHT OFF THE BAT WHEN THEY WALK INTO THE PLACE because some of us have the TouchTunes app to save $$$ and start queuing up when it seems like a good time to queue up (AS I ENTER AND SIT DOWN) besides that flying colors fantastic service fantastic jukebox options all around great. Just that one thing! Cause I probably wasted $15 in credits:(!! That’s it though! And like I said this was not the fault of the server she told me in time but I HIGHLY DOUBT they make a point to instruct them to tell people IMMEDIATELY and they should ALWAYS do that IMO!!!!!!! More money in my pocket means a bigger tip for her or more food I buy. Rather than you guys just making a small percentage from that jukebox scamming me!! Bingo is free BTW im guessing so is trivia but IDK. And I ADORE YOU GUYS FOR HAVING A DEDICATED APP EVEN THOUGH YOU ARENT A HUGE CHAIN. Or maybe you are idk! But this place rocks. They also need paper towels in the bathroom I asked a waitress if I ordered some would they toss a roll in there she said dont waste your money THEY WONT. THOSE BLOW DRYERS SPREAD MAD GERMS!!!! But ya gotta eat a speck of dirt fore ya float on up to heaven I guess!!!! Also season the steamed veggies cmon guys 😐...

Football crowd there, place so very noisy. Waitress nice but messed up order and was really not around for us for quite a while so we sat around at a dirty table waiting to order. The food order took forever to arrive! The drinks and water came a bit after our order was placed, which is when she apologized and wiped the table. When we got an appetiser, we had to request cutlery, plates, and napkins. This place was really, really understaffed with the gigantic crowd of people being there. The app was quite good, main dish was good but uninspired. The drink was very tasty.I had a nice time as we sat by the front door so we could hear each other so I had pleasant company. Our reservation was somehow nonexistentant. The person took the reservation over the phone, so idk why at check-in the person said there were no reservations. She looked at us like we were nuts! She was flustered. We requested a certain table so we could talk because this place is so very loud and we are older. We were lucky to get the requested table. Sometimes the food is quite good here, this Bear game day, uninspired. I would come back another time, as in the past sandwiches have been very good, and mussel pasta dish was great, but I would want to sit at the table where I can hear my fellow diners and servers are not being driven crazy by demanding Bear fans so we could have our order taken and be served in a reasonable time.
