Met up with friends for dinner tonight and had a great experience at Mixteca. We got there around 5:30 and the place was maybe a quarter full—perfect for settling in without a rush. Our friends joined shortly after, and from the get-go, the service was friendly and attentive.

The chips and salsa hit the table first and made a strong impression. The salsa was fresh, full of flavor, and not runny like you get at some places. Chips were crisp and clearly fresh—not the bottom-of-the-bag stuff.

Three of us ordered fajitas and they did not disappoint. Big portions, sizzling hot, and packed with flavor. You could tell they weren’t cutting corners. By 6:00 the place was filling up fast, but even as it got busy, the staff kept everything running smoothly. We never felt forgotten or rushed.

Second time eating here while passing by on U.S. Hwy 20. Was great the first time so decided to stop again and we really enjoyed it. Had two of the enchiladas players, fajita taco salad, and the queso. All were solid. The queso tasted great but wasn’t as hot as it should be.
