This restaurant serves delicious bowls, but doesnât follow CDC or OSHA health and safety guidelines even as Idaho hospitals are operating under statewide crisis standards of care. When we visited on October 2, none of the five employees were wearing masks. OSHA states: âFully vaccinated people in areas of substantial or high transmission should be required to wear face coverings inside (or other appropriate PPE and respiratory protection) as well.â
The business also does not have any notice suggesting or requiring that people wear face coverings. OSHA advises that businesses: âSuggest or require that unvaccinated customers, visitors, or guests wear face coverings in public-facing workplaces such as retail establishments, and that all customers, visitors, or guests wear face coverings in public, indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. This could include posting a notice or otherwise suggesting or requiring that people wear face coverings, even if no longer required by your jurisdiction.â
Since this county is an area of high disease transmission, Cafe Yumm! should definitely have a sign encouraging or requiring customers to wear a mask.
In response the the ownerâs reply, Iâve removed a photo that you appeared to object to as a courtesy to you. I absolutely want to support local businesses reopening safely, and I wish you every success with this. Occupational health and safety is important, and community health is important. It would not interfere with your reopening to follow OSHAâs guidance. OSHA is designed to keep employees safe, and their guidance specifically states that it should be followed âeven if no longer required by your jurisdictionâ. If you care about your employeesâ safety and the communityâs safety, you should...
Read moreFlavorless (like the rice and beans lacking ANY seasoning), it smelled like a dirty sock, absolutely tiny portion that was severely overpriced for mostly rice, a few beans, a couple anemic tomatoes, possibly a couple pieces of shredded cheese and a dab of avocado and buried in cilantro. Even with the addition of southwest chicken it had zero flavor and didn't even fill the bowl.
We primarily eat at home to control food quality, but I thought it might be nice to have an option for takeout. I'm well aware that quality ingredients cost more, but these certainly didn't taste like high quality, it was food service grade at best.
Glad I stopped in by myself instead of paying for my entire family to be disappointed (and have to feed them again a short time later)
I bought the hype, and primarily because I'd seen a few "copycat" recipes for the yumm sauce. If folks are taking their time to copy the sauce then it must be rad, right?! WRONG! I got the sauce eon the side just so I could try it. I don't even know how to describe it. So I looked do the website to find out what was in it and discovered canola oil, if you're looking for healthy that isn't it. If you're in the market for flavorful, it's a hard pass.
This was a first and last for me. I will not be returning to try anything else. They're trying to please too many palates with the varied cuisine on the menu and unfortunately you can do a few things really well or a bunch of things...
Read moreGetting so so so so so so soooooooooo sick of the issues I have nearly every single visit I make to Cafe Yumm. I suppose it's my own fault for continuing to go back, but when you have so many food allergies and issues, you're really only left with few and far between options for a convenient and healthy meal.
However, this place has proved to be infinitely more inconvenient than not. I have had to turn around, after getting all the way home or back to work, and have to go sit, again, in Eagle Road traffic, because their employees can't seem to NOT mess up my orders. They get about everyone 1 out of 5 orders correct. And even when I ask them to check it and make sure everything I've asked for is correct, something else gets added I didn't ask for. This time, it's something super spicy. I didn't ask for it and now I can't barely stand to eat my meal. Why can't they just LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER AND GET THEIR ORDER RIGHT???????? To top it all off, they DO NOT EVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE!!!! Literally WHAT is the point of having a phone number on Google for your business if you NEVER answer???? I have held my tongue and held off leaving a review because I just kept hoping after SO MANY MESS UPS, that they'd train up their staff better and things would improve. Nope. Not the case. And now. ONCE AGAIN, I have to take MORE TIME out of my day to go back out and on to Eagle Road to get my order redone. So. So. So....
