Changing my review to 2 stars. The last 2 floats I had here at the Eagle location were sub-par. There was hair all over the shower walls both times. I did not say anything last time but I had to today because it was seriously excessive. The ear wash solution was out and there were someone else’s dirty ear plugs in the shower. Again, I could not get the light in the pod to shut off. I called out into the hall several times with no help from staff. I even called the office twice, left a message once and still, no help. By this time I was at least 20 minutes into my float. I decided to get into the pod anyways and try to relax with the lights on which I have never done before. I did not find it relaxing at all and then to top it off ended the float in a shower with someone else’s hair all over it. I brought it up to the front desk employee upon finishing my float. She was kind about it, but it really turned me off to the experience. I’m heavily pregnant right now with a toddler at home so was really looking forward to some relaxation. I don’t know if I will continue coming here or not considering there is now another float center in Boise.
previous review Love, love, love this place so much. Best place to go and reset yourself. Everyone is so kind and speaks gently, it’s a very relaxed environment. Definitely recommend as part of your self-care days. My one complaint is the broken light button in pod 1. Gives me anxiety to go in there and think I may have to get staff to turn it off for me (which I have twice lol) 😂 but they are...
Read moreI heard about floating from a coworker. I am not from the Boise area, but we were in town visiting a friend and knew our group wanted to try it out.
We did a first time float at the Boise location yesterday night at the 8pm time slot. Although we were a little late (being from out of town), they were very accommodating and kind. Paperwork was super quick and easy. The float experience was unique! I didn't quite know what to expect and so I couldn't quite shut my mind off, which is fine. Coming out of the session, I felt relaxed and was definitely willing to try it again.
We decided the next day to try the Eagle location! It is a newer spot and still a great experience. Because I knew what to expect, I was able to completely relax. After about 10min of the complimentary music (to help you get into the relaxed state) I totally zonked out for the whole hour! 5min before the float ends, the music comes back on to help wake you up/prep you for the end of the session. When I woke up, I was shocked that I had even fallen asleep in the first place. The reception in both locations are super helpful and will answer all your questions. They let us know that you really need to give floating a try 2-3 times before you know what to expect and relax the most. It was super awesome and I can't wait to try...
Read moreI'm only going to give this place a 3. It's a great concept, sound-proof and light-proof, who wouldn't want to try this to be alone with your own thoughts? Unfortunately while attempting to relax and let my mind be blank I was unable to because I found myself letting my eyes be open in their most relaxed state. While doing this I noticed light coming in through the edge of the pod door. Granted it's very little but when your pupils dilate in the darkness you become very sensitive to this small amount of light. I remember the staff telling me to turn the light off or it would turn off on a timer so I thought that must be it, I open the pod door only to find yes the lights had turned off, only light in the room was the faint glow of the timer switch. The light was leaking through the door frame from the main area, bouncing off of the wall into the door into the pod! Either the pod needs sealed or the door frame does as this was not a light-proof experience. As for sound-proof the room definitely is not, while I did not experience it, I understand that the neighbors in this area sometimes run music that can be heard in the pods. The room needs to be worked on to make it sound and light proof to assist in...
