We recently had Food A Fare cater our wedding reception and wow! They were amazing! Chef Mike and Nyla made the process so easy. They were wonderful to work with and we didn't worry about a thing. And the food....oh my gosh the food.....it was so delicious. Most of our guests were going back for seconds and kept asking us who the caterer was. Hands down the best homestyle cooking in the metro east. The owners Mike and Nyla are constantly adding new specials and their own spin to several of my childhood favorites. Their chicken pot pie melts in your mouth and the braised beef tips are to die for. Be sure to ask for some extra gravy for the mashed potatoes to go with it. Our whole family loves it there. Even my grandmother approved of the meatloaf and said the french onion soup is better than Famous Barr's (which was before my time so I can't confirm but suspect shes right). Never stepped foot in the place before today but I decided it was already past breakfast time but not quite lunch so I went in for brunch....

I ordered meatloaf and three pot pies... Completely forgetting to get something for myself....

I got home and gave it to my wife and kids and my wife said I'll share the pot pie with you, it's huge!

She then tasted the mashed potatoes and said actually if it's anything like these mashed potatoes, you're on your own..... Then she took a bite of the pot pie.... I am now driving back to get my own... Because my wife...
