My go-to pizza spot, Brothers Pozza 1020 NJ-18 # C, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 since I was an mischievous teenager. Today, I decided to order an "off the menu" specialty pizza, befriending owners Mario & Tony I knew they wouldn't disappoint... (pictured) My Off the menu "Half & Half Supreme Sicilian"(Veggie and Meat combo) pizza consisting of fresh made squared dough, (Brothers famous) sauce and topped with just the right amount of mozzarella for that "perfect gooeyness". [Veggie half] generous toppings of broccoli, white onions, green bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, Black Olives and eggplant (thinly sliced) and loads of garlic. [Meat Half] Slices Sweet Sausages, Pepperoni and (Brothers famous own) Meatballs smashed across the half Once crispy crust was achieved from the oven, without asking, handful sprinkle of Parmesan from the owners hand (is how I like my pizza pies from here) #HalfAndHalfSupreme

I've eaten here a few times, and it's already my favorite pizzeria in NJ. I recommend getting pizza by the slice and dining in. When they take the slice from the display and put it back in the oven, the crust gets this perfect crispy texture while the dough stays nice and chewy. The pizza/marinara sauce they use is so rich and flavorful. The white pizzas can be a hit or a miss. The Balsamic Chicken pizza was very good, but the Pesto Chicken was dry and not seasoned as well. The Garlic Knots were solid. I also tried their Chicken Parm Sandwich, and I was a fan. It had thick cuts of breaded chicken cutlets, their delicious marinara sauce, and gooey cheese between two very soft sub rolls. The bread was maybe a bit too soft, but I didn't mind it too much. The service was friendly, and the restaurant had a classic family-owned pizzeria vibe. I'll be coming back to eat here whenever I want pizza.

Great pizza at a good price. This pizza place is one of my favorites in the area to stop by for a quick lunch. The staff is very attentive so it's easy to get in, eat, and get out quickly. The pizza is very good and I especially like the mini pizza rolls. They also have a big window of custom pies for you to get a few slices from. I have not ordered delivery so I'm not really sure about that aspect.

I typically LOVE Brothers pizza, but the way they do business on DoorDash has caused me to re-evaluate my business with them. Lets get this out of the way. Pizzas great. It's AMAZING. Great crust, flavorful sauce, it's all amazing. They always were a bit more expensive than some others in the area, but that's okay! They have some of, if not THE, best pizza around. It was okay that they had weird delivery hours. We worked around it or picked up. But, when I want to save a few bucks and use a coupon I get from Door Dash on my favorite pizza place that I've been going to since I was a kid, I almost end up spending more than without the coupon! Why? Because the way Brothers has their Door Dash set up.

First, you can't pick up an order using Door Dash so don't plan on saving a few bucks on their $3 delivery fee and whatever you'd tip the driver. I assume that's because they don't want to pay fees to DD on those orders if the person is coming in for their pies anyway. I get it I guess, but you're likely losing out on more than you would be spending on those fees. I can't tell you how many times I ordered elsewhere because I couldn't pick up my order using DoorDash. IMO, Getting a $50-60 order and paying 6% to DD no order.

Second, Brothers has some of the HIGHEST service fees I've ever come across on DoorDash. A whopping 20%. TWENTY PERCENT! That means when I'm ordering two large pies and paying the $3 delivery charge they tack on (which, let's face it, doesn't exist at most pizza places anymore and confuses the customer into trying to figure out if that goes to the driver or the shop and If they should even add a tip when there's a fee. How much tip should they add? A buck? $2? They're getting $3 already right? I should know, I was once a young pizza delivery boy myself), plus the tax, I'm going to end up paying nearly $10 (TEN DOLLARS!) extra! Most places keep it around 10%, sometimes 15%. Hey, we're all hurting here. But shaking your customers upside to get every cent from their pockets isn't the way to go.

Keep in mind, I know I can order from them WITHOUT DoorDash. I do so frequently and have for many, MANY years. The point is that when I get the occasional coupon, it would be nice if it actually saved me money. So today I've decided to no longer support a business that makes a conscious choice to hit their loyal customers with supremely high fees as well as disable store pick ups through the app to save some money (idk, a $50 order with a 6% share to DD seems better to me than a $50 order to the competition 🤷🏻).

In a time when there's a hike on prices everywhere and huge inflation, many are looking to save where they can. And with so much competition, it's easy to make those choices. Just my two, or...

This place is trash. Super unprofessional and pizza sucks. I ordered a simple order. 1 large plain and 1 large half hawaiin/half chicken bacon ranch. What I received was a large plain pie and a large half hawaiin/half vodka mushroom. The half/half pizza was sloppy and a mess that the mushroom side (which no one eats mushrooms in my house nor did i order it)went almost completely into the hawaiin side. I immediately called and was told they had made a mistake and were going to send the correct pie. Instead they sent a SMALL chicken bacon ranch pizza which is not what i ordered. I immediately called back and was told that since they sent me the half hawaiin already (the pizza that was messed up with mushrooms) they justified sending a SMALL Chicken bacon ranch. He originally said he was going to send the original pizza i ordered and didnt. Then he didnt believe me that there was mushrooms on it so i had the delivery guy come into my home so he can look at the pie and he confirmed there was mushrooms on it and the guy on the phone still wanted the pictures in which i sent. Unreal. At this point i just asked for a refund for the messed up pie and told him he can boof the small pie he sent me. He was reluctant to refund me and finally the driver gave me back the money for the messed up one. Apparently these guys are hurting so much that they need the small pie back because he asked for it back LOL what an imbecile. last time i checked customers are always right. I can careless about getting a free pizza, i just wanted my original order. These guys have horrible customer service and their pizza is trash and sloppy. DO NOT GO HERE I REPEAT DO...

I called Brothers to ask what soups they have for my wife, who isn't feeling well. They said pasta fagioli and chicken minestrone, so I headed over there to order a chicken minestrone and a slice of pizza, only to be treated like trash by a bald man in an apron who gave a bad vibe and attitude. He was flustered for no reason, or maybe before I came in. Something inside me snapped, but I didn't react or say anything to him. It just hurt. I asked someone else to throw my pizza away even though I paid for it. I lost my appetite. The bottom line is to treat people respectfully because you don't know how their day is going. My wife likes the soup, and I can't badmouth their food because it is good. Their business will continue on and I guess if your food is good, you don't have to be kind to customers. I even apologized for asking what kind of soups they had. I was made to feel like I should have memorized the menu, and I was some schmuck for asking which soups they had today. I am not here to vent or knock anyone. Just a reminder to be kind and patient with customers. If you're unable to do so, do not interact...
