Absolutely infuriating experience! This place serves up the most pathetic excuse for food and service. We endured an agonizingly long wait of over an hour for a single appetizer, and this was for our 20-month-old who was starving. To top it off, when the appetizer finally arrived, it came complete with a live mosquito stuck to it! Yes, you read that right – a live mosquito in the food!
Now, let's talk about the main course. The dish I ordered took a mind-numbing 90 minutes to reach our table. And it was from a Thai restaurant, but it might as well have been a mouthful of pure salt! I think I ingested an entire iodine factory with that one spoonful. Regret doesn't even begin to cover it.
As for my wife, well, she might as well have gone hungry because her order never made it to our table. They managed to serve it to another unsuspecting soul after making us wait for an eternity, despite numerous attempts to flag down our server. At one point, our server just vanished into thin air, probably as clueless about the kitchen's antics as we were.
And let's not forget about that appetizer for our little one, which was salty enough to make a sailor cringe. I wouldn't wish that taste on my worst enemy.
Sure, the lady at the counter acknowledged the disaster that unfolded and eventually got my wife's order boxed (because who has the patience to wait for 2 hours to get dinner?). But honestly, I don't like to complain, but this is beyond unacceptable. A live mosquito on the plate and food so salty that it might as well have come from a salt mine? No, thank you.
We left the restaurant famished, clutching a single boxed order after waiting for over 2 hours. If you can't manage your restaurant, don't even attempt to run it. And for the love of all things decent, clean up your act – mosquitoes in the food are a health hazard, especially when you serve it to a 20-month-old!
Lastly, and I'll give credit where it's due, they didn't charge me for the abysmal excuse for food we received, which I appreciate. But you guys completely ruined what should have been a pleasant evening with my family. Thanks, but no thanks.
My advice? STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! It's a health hazard, a disgrace, and a...
Read moreFirstly, it's HALAL. This made it quite busy around iftar time in Ramadan, so come early and put your name on the list (no telephone reservations..). Despite being ridiculously busy, they still got us in within a half hour. This place is popular, so there may be a wait time, just a heads up, but the guy behind the counter was very friendly and very professional. I heard him dealing with some very rude customers (who were complaining about how long they'd been waiting for their food) very professionally, with no anger. At no point did he lose his temper, which impressed me greatly as the customers were completely out of line with their rudeness and general Karen-ness. We were seated and the first thing we noticed was the nice decor! They definitely spare no expense for the aesthetic. We ordered appetizers (the sampler), Main courses, and some fried ice cream, which is just as delicious as the reviews say it is. We thought we could handle the spice, but just like every Thai place, less is more!! Don't go for hot or extra hot spiciness if you are even a little unsure! Next time, I'm definitely going medium or mild... Regardless, the food was amazing, and even though my mouth was burning (again, Thai spicy is on another level, but they did warn us...), I enjoyed every single bite. Despite the spice, the flavor was easily tasted in everything! The crispy chicken was not crispy though, which was a little disappointing, but I knew how busy they were in the back, and the fact that it still tasted amazing, I had to give them the full 5 stars. Coconut fried ice cream is just as amazing as it sounds, and I can see why it's so popular. At the end, we ended up staying past closing hours, but never felt rushed even once by the staff! They knew that we were seated later in the night, so they didn't rush us out at all, and that was really nice of them. Fantastic staff, good food, great atmosphere, HALAL THAI FOOD, and fantastic...
Read moreService would be faster if done by blind donkeys with no legs. Seriously the worst service seen this side of Pakistan (Zindabad). Wait staff will not show up to take your order no matter how long you wait unless you grab them. No matter who you get, they are always "new," even if you have seen them the last 3 times you were here ( I know, my fault for coming back again). When they do take your order, they apparently go find the animal at some farm in another state to slaughter, butcher, and cook because there is simply no way they should take this long. Then you find out they got the wrong animal because you ordered lamb and the brought you chicken (poor little chicken!), and that is assuming they bring you any food at all. Frequently they simply "forget" the food you ordered and then you order again. I seriously thought I was on "What Would You Do" with my buddy John Quinones (or for the older generation, Candid Camera) as the service could not possibly be this bad. And this is coming from a Pakka Desi used to Uncle and Auntie Kabob House type service. At the end of the day they do get 2 starts because the food they do eventually bring is good - even if it is not what you ordered. It's a shame because the place has potential. I have to be honest, the fish tank is pretty sweet. Update: it has been about 40 minutes since I wrote this review. They brought me somebody else's order again, so I am still waiting for my food... Update 2: it has been over 2 hours and asked for takeaway boxes for third time and my missing dessert for...
