You need to listen to your gut, folks. I didn’t. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, something felt… off. Saturday morning, breakfast hour, and the parking lot looked like a ghost town. “Go somewhere else,” my gut whispered. But nooo, I saw that shiny 4.5-star badge online and thought, how bad could it be? Walked in. Not a single customer. The place looked new but had that “already tired of existing” vibe. My gut nudged me again. “Are you sure?” “Relax,” I told it. “4.5 stars.” I ordered a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The one guy working there was running the entire show—cashier, barista, chef, dishwasher, probably CEO too. That should’ve been my third clue. Finally, I got my food, took it to the car, opened the bag, and my gut was now SCREAMING like a horror movie victim: Please don’t eat this. But I did. One bite. ONE. I tossed the rest. It looked, smelled and tasted very weird. The bacon was just burnt. Coffee? Lukewarm sadness in a cup. So here’s the lesson: listen to your gut. Mine is still mad at me. Message to management: Please hire more staff. Having one poor soul doing everything is unfair to him, bad for business, and worse for your customers’ experience.

I came to this restaurant about a month back and ordered an omelette and a berry smoothie. What I received was horrible. If I could rate negative stars I would. My omelette was burned and when I asked for it to be remade, it was remade and burned again. As for the smoothie, I could clearly taste that it was just a “Naked Double Berry” smoothie blended with ice. Even my Girlfriend could taste it, and her coffee had tasted stale and made her sick the rest of the day. -100/10 would never come back here again unless they actually get a REAL chef and not the owner grilling an egg on a random George Forman grill with no oil on it.

The best coffee shop around! I love to support my local businesses and if you're ever in the East Brunswick area on route 18, it's worth the time to come in and stop by! The place is worthy of its title as "Cozy Cup" as the atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable. All the staff here is really delightful and the service is excellent. I can hardly name a more pleasant experience. The food here is also great, the bagels come out nice and soft even when toasted and honestly anything you get here is well worth the price be it coffee, hot chocolate, tea, or food! Come enjoy this gem of a shop!

Genuinely love this place, I’ve brought friends (and a date or two) here to try them and they all loved it too. I’ve been looking for a good cafe that wasn’t Starbucks so I’m very happy I found this spot. The food is always made well, I would eat here every meal if I could and that’s not an exaggeration.

My one and only critique is sometimes my orders take way too long, so it’s hard for me to come here for a quick bite/cup before work or any plans. As much as I want to drill people around here for being spoiled with instant service, or rude and inconsiderate towards the human beings behind the counter, 30 minutes for a drink and a sandwich is a bit much. I can’t in good conscience not mention that. I have never had a bad order though, so as long as I have the time I don’t mind the wait at all.

Absolutely give this place a try, local businesses like this need love and in my opinion Cozy Cup deserves it. Hopefully...

I try to make it a point to never write poor reviews, but Cozy Cup made quite possibly the worst first impression possible, and I don’t think we’ll ever be returning… We arrived at 2pm and eventually got our beverages at 2:50pm. I understand that the breakfast rush usually tapers off as the day goes on, but there was only one person working the entire store at 2pm, which made the experience unpleasant for all parties involved. He had to take every order, make every drink, and make the food completely on his own, which of course took forever, but that’s hardly his fault. We spent almost an hour waiting for our drinks that were made incorrectly and were only half full, which was disappointing, considering how much we paid for them. One worker on a Saturday at 2pm with a full store… management please do better- for...
