Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in East Brunswick Township

I went to Chili's in East Brunswick NJ, on 3/13/23, first of all, I have to say it use to be one of my favorite places to go to. But, my experience last night was awful when you used to order a Presidente Magarita they would make it on the spot. Now what they do is they pre-mix it and it is served to you in a small plastic cup. Before they would serve it in a martini glass. Now this plastic cup they put the salt on without even asking you if you want salt or not. Luckily, I did want the salt Secondly, when you order another drink they pour the pre-mix in the same cup that you were using and no salt around the rim. I have never been to any restaurant that refills your used cup. I found it to be very distasteful, The bartender Jill was not very friendly, she came over only to ask if I wanted to try a different margarita just out of no where. She highly recommended it, so I said yes. When I received the bill the Margarita that she recommended was $11.99 she never mentioned the price and it was not a good drink. I had ordered a Presidente Margarita that was only $4.00. I was told that on Mondays it is happy hour all day long from the greeter. Being that I was upset about the price of the margarita since she never mentioned it to me. I asked her why is this margarita $11.99 she said she would speak to the manager and he told her to charge me half $6.00. I can afford to buy a drink at any cost but it is the principal and the quality of the service. Also, I was not happy with the Santa Fe salad it is my favorite salad from there. It was awful not like they used to make it. They only used lettuce and no other greens. It was just so different I understand inflation but they are charging more and they should have kept the quality of their food and drinks the way it use to be. I was so dissapointed I will not go there again. I will try the one in North Brunswick and see if they are any better. If not I will just give up on...

I am only giving this store a 2 star because i really enjoyed the wings. I ordered from doordash its just wings and it comes from this establishment. I have never had an issue in the past about my orders and i order from here pretty often. The past 2 times a lady has answered the phone and was completely rude to me about my request, where as i said in the past i have never had an issue. This recent time threw me over because a second after i hit place order i called for my request because on the app it has no place for my to customize. And as soon as i called they said my order was done already? How could it be done when i ordered it 2 seconds prior. So I continued to explain how it should not be done i just sent it in and she hung up on me. I called back they answered and hung up again. I called for a third time and they purposely did not answer the phone. I have never had an issue with them till recently about this. When i finally got my mom to call and ask, a man answered and told me my order was picked up. Again i have the doordash app and it says it is still being prepared i don’t even have a driver. They are just finding excuses to please a customer with a request. I explained to him how i was treated and what have happened & he seemed like he didn’t care. I work in food industry i have done every department & i know this is not how you treat a customer especially someone who often gives you business. I know i didn’t do anything wrong just had a simple request that i was willing to pay extra for. Now i am scared to even eat my food because of how nasty they treated me...

Chili's, I am admittedly not a "fan" of Chili's BUT after today, I have a change of heart. The pandemic either made you stronger or beat you down. Chili's improved greatly. When you go to this Chili's, the bathroom is to the right, then a left, on the back wall. Clean and stocked. The place itself was clean no trash around the building, landscape maintained and parking 360° around the place. The employees, friendly, attentive and on point. From the first friendly greeting, to the staff and the goodbye. All first class. The food. We ordered this trio sample thing. A lot to choose from. We had these slider things, chicken and egg rolls. All of them really good. I ordered a cheeseburger, it was great. Perfectly cooked, fries were perfect, it was everything I'd expect from a cheeseburger. I know, it's a cheeseburger but man, this was good. My wife ordered a Santa Fe Salad. She enjoyed it. Not as much as I enjoyed my cheeseburger but it was a great burger My daughter ordered some smokey thing. I wasn't paying attention. Fries, some weird corn, sausage and something else. She loved it. Should have paid attention but I didn't. I had lemonade. However it's spelled. I like a place with root beer and lemonade. Normal choice of sodas. The service was crazy good. The technology is in place from the ordering to the check. I love that. Saves time, you get your stuff quick and check out is a breeze. That's about it. I'm a fan now, we are going back and if you hated the place before, go. We can change, a business can change and keep...
