I am honestly still shocked about the interaction I had with the employees in this bakery... I had tried to cancel a cake order earlier this week to which one of the employees responded that since it was a custom order they had already made it and could not refund me my deposit. I said okay, since it's already made and I already paid the deposit, I'll keep the order. Fast forward to the day of my kids party, I send my family member to retrieve the cake, only to get the most aggressive and rude comments from the employees! They said I had indeed cancelled it and they had a process for doing things and I could not just do whatever I want. When I tried to explain that why would I send someone to pick up a cake I had cancelled, they were litteraly SCREAMING at me. I felt like I was in the twilight zone!!

It wasn't necessarily that they had cancelled the order, it's fine miscommunications happen. But the way they were screaming at me on the phone calling me unprofessional! Babe, how am I the unprofessional one when you guys are litteraly the business!?? Is this place run by teenagers whose frontal lobes are not yet developed enough to handle a simple issue?

At the end of the day, they are just one bakery amongst many others that do an equally good if not better job. I am just shocked at the way a simple transaction was handled. It could have been a simple, "okay I see that there was a miscommunication, these are the options I can provide". Instead I got "do you want my help or not!?" If you’re looking for a good quality bakery - with fresh bread and pastries- I found it! Recommendations: butter cookies any kind!, fig cookies (seasonal), almond crescents, linzer tarts, black and white cookies, Tea biscuits, cheese danish, raspberry and cheese bearclaws, apple turnovers, cherry and cheese danish ring, blueberry or apple ring, cheese babka. Tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, brown derby cake, or chocolate cheese soufflé (normally during the holidays).

I am so happy that I stumbled upon this place years ago. I was originally hooked with their butter cookies- I love them! They have a wide variety of filled cookies some with jam-raspberry / apricot, or others with fudge, buttercream, sometimes raspberry cream. You can tell they are made there and not bought like a lot of other places I’ve been to. Since then I have tried a few more things and now I drive 45 minutes every week for fresh bread and baked treats! Every member of my family ( and some of my neighbors) rave about the rye bread. I even gave it as a Christmas gift to my family that lives out of state. In the years I’ve been coming here I have never received a bad item.
